That is absolutely correct and in fact, more common than male trainers playing with male clients. Having gone to gyms at the tony upper eastside, NY and in the Hamptons, I am amazed at how many bored married housewives openly flirt/sleep with their trainer, their tennis coach ... the gardener - you name it. Even more so for divorced middle aged women - for them, it is the only male contact they are going to get. It is an epidemic. I wonder sometimes, if these women pay for sex. I can't prove the point, but I would think gay men are more generous.

Your math is questionable. Say a top notch Equinox trainer were to make $100,000 per year. In NYC, the average fee for Equinox trainers is $110/hour. Of which the trainer makes $55/hour, Equinox keeps the rest. To make $100,000/year, a trainer, assuming he works 260 days per year (52 weeks, 5 days a week), would have to train 7 clients per day, every day. No vacations. I don't see that happening. Most trainers are lucky to have 3-4 clients per day or even fewer. Which is why many moonlight by offering private training sessions at the client's home gyms, or venture into more 'profitable' client encounters. The rotation of personal training staff, both male and female, at gyms in NYC is astonishing. Especially at Equinox. If you don't make your gross monthly sales figures, you are OUT. I will say I haven't fucked any of MY personal Equinox trainers yet, although I have 'worked' with some of the guys there. The clients gossip about which trainers are 'available' and the trainers gossip about which clients are 'interested'. It works out really well, in the end. I don't know about you, but I find it motivating to train with a well-built, sexy trainer. No matter how talented and knowledgeable, a slob trainer has no credibility with me.
