I know many see my giving money to them as promoting them staying on the street and perhaps that is true but I can't walk back to my warm home without trying to help them right that minute to get some food or a warm place to stay. Many know of the shelters and charities but some aren't of the right mind to take those steps they need to help themselves. Too many personal and private stories I need not share with the world which back up my actions but in my mind I know I am doing what I need to do.

Also $10.00 in ones in your front pocket for the homeless as you walk down the streets.

I have to bend forward a little to use it.
Very glad you are using it. If you use it a lot this becomes a problem. Stand up as straight as you can. Look into the ones where you stand upright and put your arms in the holders. Much better for your posture.

A few minutes ago I took it out of the box and used it to walk into the kitchen. I take my insulin shot in the evening.
How did you like it? Make walking easier and safer?

I'll know once I open the box.
The high school band will play, the mayor will give a short speech and then at exactly noon the box will be opened. Small reception after at the fire station.o_Oo_O

But using it is like admitting to myself that things are going from bad to worse and that there is no hope; that's a difficult thing to accept.
Fall and break your hip and you'll find out about true misery!!!

I don't know.
You get a wheelchair so you can easily get to a car/taxi and get to the doctor!!!!!!

But I’m sure that won’t work for him either.
Yep!!!!! I moved a friend into my building to help him but sat him down first and told him what I expected of him and what I would do. I would be @Avalon's worst nightmare!!!!!!!!!

Throw in the grocery runs, and he's more of a caretaker than he is a landlord. What would happen if the landlord changed jobs or if he's the owner, sold the building?
I agree. Most people at one point in their life depend on the kindness of others, I helped a woman in my building for 3 years. My concern is the "lost packages" from the mail place especially if it's medicine he needs.

I didn't know that she was still around.
Still around, still hawking her self on any show she can and broke. Need a housekeeper? She may apply.
