I disagree [mostly] with you. I will focus on Ivo and Ian since you called them out by name. If asked, they will both tell you upfront that they will not be nude, do not allow mutual touch, and do not provide release. Yes Ivo (and his partner Petar) may be flirty to entice you to come back, but...

They are business men and looking to attract clients. When I was a good looking and strapping young buck in my 20s, my boss at the software company where I worked...used to drag me along to conferences to work the sales booth. Tactics to bring in the customers that might otherwise had passed our booth by. It's the business way.

...and a response to your 4 points...

    1) Both Ivo and Ian do advertise on massagefinder. They advertise elsewhere as well. It seems that they welcome male customers...and they advertise where the male customers shop. I see nothing wrong with that.
    2) Ivo does work in a spa (Revive DC) and Ian is outcall only (like Zeel or Soothe)
    3) Ivo has never posed shirtless. Ian does violate this....so i will give you this one. In addition, his RentMasseur Ad also says sensual...which he does not deliver. I spoke with him about this about 5 years ago when I had my first massage with him. He seemed to think that a softer "Swedish" style massage was sensual. I told him no, asked him to get onto the table and proceeded to show him what a sensual massage would be like. However, he did not change his style of massage or his indicator on his profile.
    4) Ivo does have his own website for Revive. Ian does as well called Revitalize.

The best way to handle him is to run in the other direction. Most of my bad experiences hiring could be chalked up to “fine guy, not great at massage” or “personality clash” or “guy is really demanding and kind of annoying”.

Alex is terrible at his job AND a shitty person. He looked nothing like his photos and smelled terrible. He kept asking me insulting personal questions and telling me I did not shower (I did.) He also overshared about his life. I am not against intimacy with a masseur, but I am also not his therapist.

I had to basically pull myself away and flee because he kept trying to come up with reasons to keep me there.

In a recent thread, I noted that I give massages (Free/No-Charge) as well as receive them. I have had a number of people reaching out to me directly either asking me of my experiences and how I started/transitioned to giving massages.

If you are just looking to read about some of my experiences giving massages, I noted some of the first ones here on this blog:

If you are interested in my journey from massage receiver to massage giver, read on...

About 3 years ago, I went to see a masseur that used to advertise in DC & NYC (Massage Buff/Hunter/David). As part of his intake process he asked me "How many massage I had received?". When I told him 100+, he told me that I needed to start giving them as well. He noted two things:

You will get much more out of receiving a massage, once you start giving them.
You will find that Touch is reciprocal. It feels good to touch as well as be touched.

I took this guidance to heart and attempted to find massage partners. That was tough initially until I learned to navigate the waters. It all came together once I acquired two things:

The ability to host: Recently Separated/Divorced gave me the ability to host (at least part-time when the kids aren't here)
A massage table: I purchased a High Quality used table on Craigslist. Much better that buying a cheap new table on Amazon.

The next thing is how to find massage partners. I use several methods...each with its pros and cons:

Hookup apps like Grindr, Jackd, Scruff. You have to word your ad carefully. You cannot use the word "massage" or you may get flagged. You can try variant spellings like "m@ssage" or other words like 'rub". I get most of my "clients" from Grindr. As i am truly massage focused, I weed out the ones just looking for hand job. I have a couple of "filter" questions that let me know what their intentions are.
Hookup sites like Craigslist and DoubleList. For both sites you have to use the word "touch". You cannot use massage or rub in your postings or it will get flagged. On Craigslist, I post in the Community/Groups or Community/Volunteers section. The ad eventually will get flagged, but I get a decent amount of responses before it gets taken down.
Meetup.com: Meetup has a couple of massage groups in the DC area. There are group massage swaps (I have hosted a few) and one-on--one sessions negotiated through the discussion board.
MassageExchange.com: The site is mostly useless unless you upgrade to a paid membership. Otherwise, you have to wait for someone with a paid membership to reach out to you. Once I upgraded my membership, I started making contacts
Zenbrisa.com: This is a relatively new site but I have made a few contacts on it

A few other things of note:

I "learned" massage by watching videos on youtube and just doing to others what felt good when it was done to me. The hardest part was trying to figure out the order and flow of things. Take notes when you receive your next massage and you will see that there is a method to the madness.
I don't try to do any deep work...or to fix anybody. I offer a relaxing but firm massage. Don't want to do anything that would potentially hurt someone
I require a face pic as part of the vetting process. I am not looking to see how attractive they are (well maybe I am). I mostly want to make sure that the person that shows up is as advertised
I require them to text me before I give out my address. This makes it "real" for them. A lot will bow out at this point. They were game players anyway.
I make sure that I have all "easy to grab" valuables out of site: Keys, wallet, watches, ...
My massage session lasts about 45mins to an hour. If it migrates to extras...then it takes as long as it takes

I have massaged all ages, genders, shapes and sizes. It's amazing how you have to change your techniques given the variations in people's bodies and body parts.
I have a towel and washcloth in plain site and ask them if they need to shower (I have already asked them to be freshly showered or told them that they can shower here)
I have towel for draping. I have had only one guy ask for draping. I later found out that he asks for it because he spontaneously ejaculates during the session when either I am massaging his glutes or his legs. LOL
I have had two guys be nervous and get on the table in their underwear. However, within mins they were comfortable and paused to removed their underwear.
I have a place identified for them to place their clothing/belongings and a chair available for sitting when they are getting undressed/dressed (you older guys will identify with the need for that)
I have a bottle of water available to them
I prefer to use a lavender scented massage oil called Nooky . It has a great scent and a smooth glide to it, without being super oily. I also have other oils and lotions available for those that don't want scents or tend to be allergic to certain things. My favorite lotion is Vaseline Advanced Repair. For a lotion, it has a great glide similar to an oil.
I don't charge, but I have had people show their appreciation buy bringing a small something like a Bottle of Wine or a Starbucks Gift Card. One of my regulars brought a case of water (he goes through two bottles while he is here).

You can’t get more from someone who doesn’t want to give more to you.

    Either:

1.) Find a masseur who is attracted to you in that way, to explore more... (which may take a bit of time and effort in hiring, and reviews from this site), or

    2.) Just hire an escort.

That is the big issue. He promises erotic, but is so squeamish, he nibbles your ears, crawls & rubs all over you while you are on your stomach and gets you all worked up, and then flips you over, stands up, and is so afraid of touching a dick or having you touch his that he pushes your own hand down to your dick and tells you to do it yourself. I exchanged numerous messages with numerous guys who had this experience with him. it's a shame, because is is a nice guy with a great body. Claims to be bi, but says he only has sex with women. Yet another BUYsexual.

Most of the guys changing their names never used their real names in the first place, so their true identity isn’t being compromised.

Many change to “clear their bad credit”.... as I would call it.

Typically when providers change their names, they are running from their bad reputation. It's easy to shake the bad reviews if your name has changed.

Hi - massageexchange.com does work. You do need to pay for membership to be able to communicate with others, but it’s not a lot. You’ll get way more success if you post a pic in your profile. I’m in NYC, so there are more people here than elsewhere, so your experience may vary depending on where you live. Profiles will tell you if the person is looking to do an exchange, mostly give or mostly receive. And, there are people of all ages there. Like anything, there’s some trial and error. If you’re game for building some decent skills, it can be a great way to get massages regularly without spending money.

Hahaha... I viewed his page when it came up in Orlando. It was late on a Wednesday night and I was looking to see who I could use for a Friday evening massage. I logged off and went to bed. After work the next day I logged on to 7 emails over 5 hours time frame from this guy! The first was "Hey Man, what can I do you for?" and the last was "You have 10 minutes to book something or I am done with you."
I replied that I was looking for the weekend and not sure why he was emailing me in the first place, as I did not reach out to him. No reply.

Super odd little man... and it is Not even a Full Moon yet! Juzeees.

I left my session with Serge when I realized that I was not going to get what we had agreed upon (MN, MT, HE) in our texting when setting up the session.

No language barrier. Afterwards, it was quite apparent to me that it was not Serge that I was talking to when I set up the session. Serge had no idea what had been agreed upon. It must have been a handler/booker that set up the session.

After I left, I repeatedly receive nasty texts for the next hour saying that I was a pervert and that God would punish me.

Exactly. The point is to let others know. I would say that someone who promises several things and doesn't deliver on them is one of the "bad ones". Even you were a tad bummed.

I wouldn't necessarily say that this is warning worthy. What he did provide may have been perfectly fine for others. I am just tired of shelling out a bunch of money and not getting what I want in a session.
