Use good quality escorts. The top guys know everything and will never ever be indiscreet.

If I turn up at a client’s place I’m dressed smartly, I’m discreet and could be viewed as your lawyer or accountant.

That's very true. It is evidenced by the fact that he allowed those who act like pigeons shitting on a monument to remain members regardless how annoying they might be (and how much we'd like them to target a different statue)

Thanks for that, @latbear4blk. I'll pass the link on to his other tech friends who are working to preserve his sites and close out his affairs.

I mean, anyone who comes to this forum NOT expecting clashes of opinion from intelligent, educated gay men is, uh, naive at best.

Yes I did and although it wasn't all warm and fuzzy, I got the impression that when @latbear4blk put all of his differences aside - and there were many political and otherwise - he came to a place where he recognized Daddy for the man he was and what he stood for. I felt that what @latbear4blk wrote was personal and heartfelt and wanted to share it with us. That was his genuine tribute to Daddy in his own way of expressing it.

A loathesome brand. I’ve always been lean enough to wear their jeans, but was always put off by the pretension.

Met him once for the 1st time years back at @Oliver annual Palm Springs bash. Had a nice 1 on 1 chat poolside at Canyon Club or something like that. We didn’t always see eye to eye, and he could be stern...but glad we were able to put our differences aside and remain cordial.

So sad lately, many older “vets” of the community have been passing away this year. I find myself reaching out to former regulars not for money, but just to make sure they’re okay. So important to take care of ourselves, and each other -Jerry

For the last 21 years Hooboy's forum under Daddy's guidance, and then under Daddy entirely after Hoo died, functioned as therapy and true social networking. Never met him unfortunately, my gratitude is immense.

    RIP, Guy Fawkes.

I didn't have any personal experiences with him, aside from being on this site regularly. But I'm forever indebted to him for providing a space for the community and friends I've made via this 'hobby' of ours. Daddy (and Hooboy before him) helped make us all safer and happier.

Hi, I’ve had the privilege of communicating with some of Guy/daddy’s friends on the West Coast. They’ve known him for close to 50 years. They’ve worked together, lived together, and just hung out. One of them was daddy’s Advocate while he was in the hospital. Needless to say, daddy’s passing had a major impact on them. One of the friends recently emailed me and provided some pictures. He said if anyone is interested to share them. He also wrote about some interesting stories, for example, back in the ‘90’s, daddy officiated at their wedding. Yes, he wore many hats. If anyone would like to see these pictures send me a PM with your email address. For me, that’s the easiest way to do it.

Thank your for sharing this information. It is heartening to know he had lifelong friends who cared about him and about whom he cared.

Saddened about the news but glad he's out of suffering. I changed our profile photo in his honor. Nice to have it as a remembrance. We didn't really know that much about him, but he was always kind, considerate, engaging and a little naughty. Exactly the type of person we love to love. ♥

If their main profile pic shows facial hair, I don't even click on it. I just move onto the next guy. If their pics have both clean shaven and facial hair pics, I probably would ask what their current situation is and decline if they have facial hair. (I don't like the prickly or furry feeling...) If they reply that they are willing to shave, that's their decision. I'm not paying extra for a guy to shave a beard/mustache that he's had for months/years just for an hour or so of fooling around. If they aren't attached to it and want the job, then they can shave. haha

Daddy provided a great service to all of us thru his dedication and perseverance in maintaining these sites. I’m sure it was often a thankless job and there were probably times when he felt like chucking it all. We are all beneficiaries of the fact that he worked tirelessly to keep these sites going for as long as he possibly could. I hope that his work here gave him a sense of satisfaction and comfort as he struggled with his health issues and the challenges of coping with the pandemic.

Well done Daddy! I will forever be indebted to you for your service to the community of users of these sites.

I hope it gave him comfort how many lives his work, his gifts, improved and ...yes...blessed. How many of us have had wonderful and life altering experiences and friendships because of his efforts? I for one will always be grateful that I wandered onto this site. The friends met here changed my life forever. I wish I had been more generous when Daddy asked for donations. Hope some similar opportunity arises in some way.

My deepest sympathies to his family, friends and everyone here. He is going to be missed.

Was really worried about his health when I noticed news posts were not being updated this past month on the main page. Looking at the news stories that were gathered daily was part of my morning routine online.

    The tide recedes,

    but leaves behind
    Bright seashells on the sand.
    The sun goes down

    but gentle warmth
    Still lingers on the land.

    The music stops

    and yet it lingers on
    In sweet refrain.
    For every joy that passes
    Something beautiful remains
