yes, the Thursday evening VillageFest is fantastic......several blocks of various things for sale and nice to just wander and people-watch......well worth it......we did go to the PS Cultural Center farmers' market one day about two or three years ago after a group hike during the forum weekend, but I found it to be a bit small with not many booths or action......however, we were just wandering and I'm sure local regulars know where what they want is and how to get it and get out

at my public high school (suburban Phoenix) in the late 1970s during the Anita Bryant hubbub, there was a sometimes-tense rivalry between the Jocks (athletes) and the Freaks (I think it was that, the stoner-types)......at one point, a huge piece of graffiti appeared one morning for all to see proclaiming, "Anita Bryant Hates Jocks"......
