wow!.....thanks for the suggestion of Infamous, which I just finished watching......whereas Capote seemed quieter, less flashy, and nearly documentary-like, Infamous seemed more wide-ranging, analytical, and a bit Hollywood-ed-up......I think I felt more moved by Infamous if my being a bit more stunned and reflective when it was over is an indication......Bullock's acting was restrained, professional, and seemed accurate......Jones's Capote was more flashy/flamboyant (exaggerated?) than Philip Seymour Hoffman's portrayal, but both seemed fantastic after I settled into the eccentricities of Capote himself......the kiss was a surprise in Infamous - I didn't think they'd make that assumptive leap of faith about their relationship........both entirely fun to watch.... thanks @Benjamin_Nicholas for the reminder that this other interpretation was out there!! now back to the thread subject!!....books!!

yes, that was about eleven years ago...."Nash" and "Cal"........I don't want to link news articles because their real names are mentioned, but it's very easy to google using shrewdly-worded search phrases!......both were/are very good-looking......

I also agree that seeing dudes who go only down to underwear - after going to Adonis nude parties and Stock/Swinging Richards et al - does nothing for me.....I can go to the beach for that.......

I presume it's some combination of zoning laws, license fees, daily management/staffing logistics and headaches, rental/leasing costs, low income potential (no liquor sold), and maybe even just the fact that seeing naked guys isn't such a big deal anymore......and SoCal is the more conservative part of the state.....there's also more of a bros' night out atmosphere at the female clubs (often several guys in one "party") whereas the male strip clubs are often just one or two people per "party"...... yeah, I'd love one, too.......don't know how Stock does it......
