don't know about the others, but I was talking about Phuket Town (SE corner of island) in my post just upthread......Patong's Bangla Street was actually fun for us for an evening of strolling and gawking amid the loud music and people-watching.....

we did not even go to Phuket Town while there.....and didn't feel any need to......I think the main reason to go there (??) is to catch boats that head off to the popular and scenic islands to the east....... the airport for Phuket is at the north end of the island and the popular west-facing beaches/resorts are scattered about a ways south of the airport.....Phuket Town is at the island's far southeast corner, so not particularly convenient (unless you're doing a boat trip to those popular islands offshore)

Note that he says he's in Manhattan, KS, home to Kansas State University, as of now where he may be a student or on the staff??? It's about an hour west of Topeka and about two hours west of KC. That may be a temporary domicile, though.

Is your bookmark the hidemeproxy one? If so, it works, but you may have to go in via Germany instead of the Netherlands. And, as always, you may need to accept the privacy policy several times. Also, the Chrome browser seems more tolerant

deposits are a perennial, much-discussed topic here in the forum.....and the universal conclusion is to not pay one...... there are a few well-regarded, trusty providers who can enforce the deposit requirement for new clients or even established clients with a past history of cancelling late or similar, but the years of forum horror stories here are evidence that paying one is very risky..... we all certainly understand the frustration providers feel toward flaky clients and/or after a demoralizing string of no-shows, but it's part of this niche business and providers can find other ways to vet clients
