spurred on by the resurrection of this thread, I just watched all seven episodes (0:35 each)......don't know why I missed it back in mid-2024..... originally an autobiographical one-man show by Scottish comedian/actor/writer Richard Gadd in 2019, the 2024 Netflix series, also starring Gadd, claims to be a true story at the beginning, but some googling around on "Richard Gadd" and "Baby Reindeer" tempers that claim and even Gadd himself has said it's only "emotionally true"......a couple or three 'fictional' primary characters in the series were quickly connected to real-life people and explanations and/or lawsuits resulted....... lots of awards and critical praise.....it was an enjoyable watch with some tense moments and psychological intrigue.....Nava Mau as a trans woman in Richard Gadd's character's life was appealing and sharp.......

no experience, but I want to comment on the "straight" dilemma.....many forum members have strong opinions about this, but, after years of experience and forum-reading, I've realized that the "orientation" field in RM profiles cannot be trusted at all......one guy I met listed as "straight" and married his boyfriend a few months later.....some providers feel clients only want to meet with masculine, "straight-acting" guys, thus the orientation ruse......as always, honest communication during pre-meet planning can usually, uhhhh, straighten out that plan between client and provider

I don't live back east, but have attended a couple DC forum events (several years ago) and many Palm Spgs forum weekends...... this idea can range from a simple bar hangout one afternoon to multi-day with several planned events, but one person will need to be the default organizer, run it, and see it through start to finish........ there are just a few NY providers here in the forum, registered or not (!), and many who've never heard of this place.......I'm sure the NY forum providers here already know each other to varying extents and can come up with a plan....... my main point is that one person needs to take the lead, be a leader, and make the plan....DO NOT poll the group asking for dates on which each person is available!.....(yes, that happened one year here in the forum and any semblance of a plan/event fell apart quickly)

it's a much-discussed quandary here on the forum.......many/most forum clients absolutely do not send any personal pictures, presumably for internet privacy with this hobby......other clients (much fewer) are fine with it......there is occasional forum concern that the provider is obviously wondering what the client looks like and screens as a result....... personally, I offer a very accurate summary of my stats and vibe early on, but never a picture......

We thoroughly trashed this guy last year and earlier this year (see link upthread) and don't need to repeat all that. He only appeals to a very narrow range of clients and if that resulting business is adequate, win-win! He did make a single cogent reply in the linked thread.

I'm experiencing the same thing......when posting a profile link, there is an option to "display as a link instead" at bottom right, though it's somewhat obscure.......I believe the moderators have also requested we use this option to avoid x-rated pictures (in the profile) from automatically appearing in the thread

welcome to the forum......please don't ask about "extras" here in the public discussion......state licensing may be at risk for the provider and there's the 'discretion' thing, too.....thanks
