For me growing up gay I was very fortunate my faith tradition focused on "JOYFUL" noises and never preached the gospel of hate (as I call it). Living in Texas I have walked out of so many churches when hate starts to spew from clergy lips.
I would also say our musical history is very rich and is typically more tradition than new age. The star in my profile is Moravian and most folks don't know it is actually a denomination. We also have something called Putz and a service called Lovefeast.
No Moravian churches in Texas but when ever I travel and can find a community I try to attend. The two largest cities where you find Moravian Culture are #1 Bethlehem PA and #2 Winston-Salem, NC.
