  2. What I told a sibling when she got divorced was, "I can't tell you how to be rich, I can tell you how not to be poor." Really, becoming rich for most people is a matter of luck, because things like a chronic illness or an accident can throw all but the most well-heeled off course. And I think the people in this country for whom things worked out aren't sufficiently aware of that, which is why our social safety net is such a clusterfuck.

  4. I looked at the older one's instagram and scrolled through his feed and he put up a couple of throwback pics that make it clear he's not the same guy. That said, I've known a couple of people who went through a shockingly fast "Twink" to "dad" transition. 12 years would be pushing it, but if the video release was, say 3 years old at the time(many studios would have a bunch in the can and just spool them out over time), and the guy was shaving a few years off his age, it wouldn't be inconceivable. meaning 12 years was really more like 15 and this guy was going from 30 to 45. Lots of people go gray young and bodybuilding seems to be rough on the skin. You don't see too many white 45+ bodybuilders with young faces. I don't think porn names are copyrighted so they get recycled periodically.
  5. I will say with Suprep I was done with all the shitting a lot faster than other people seemed to be with the other methods. They were talking about being up all night and I think i was dine by like 10:30/11pm and was able to get decent sleep
  6. The prep drink I had was called Suprep. It was two 16 oz drinks a couple of hours apart, and I think I was supposed to drink another 32 oz of water as well. It definitely did not taste good but I found the best way to take it was just one long continuous sip so it would be done sooner and spend less time on my tongue. I think if I had done it in multiple sips the back and forth would have had me gagging. The other key to these things is refrigerate the drink, it dulls the taste a little.
  7. I seem to recall 1.4 million being touted as the cutoff globally for "high net worth individual." That said, there are places in the US where that and that alone is an amount you can be set for life in, and areas where you would probably run through that before you died. (I'm talking without Social Security).
  8. Suze Orman's advice is for people who don't have the inclination or the aptitude to really delve into finance. So she gives broad rules to follow and doesn't deal with the exceptions. It's fine for joe blow, but people who make real money would do well to move on from her. Like she says never buy whole life insurance, but there are in fact situations where it makes sense due to tax considerations. But if you are in that situation, you are too rich to be listening to her in the first place. Her advice is geared to the person with an okay job, some student loans, and a credit card balance or three who can't seem to get it together to sign up to contribute to their 401(k).
  9. You don't have to be rich to engage those services if you are willing to forego other things. For example, my father smoked two packs of cigarettes a day, I don't smoke at all. At today's cigarette prices in my state that "saves" over $5000 a year. There are a million little things people spend money on without thinking that add up to quite a bit if you have a decent-but-not-great job. But that doesn't mean you don't have to think about the money. (Now there ARE some people on this forum who are quite well-to-do, but it's by no means all of us.)

I've been thinking about giving Propecia a try because I have JUST enough hair loss that I decided to buzz it down, I wouldn't need that much more hair to be satisfied with the results.   16. There are a lot of smart watches now that will connect to your phone and let you make calls. But the life alert is definitely simpler to operate, and if you're, say,having a stroke, it's probably easier to just push a button as you might not have the ability to properly operate the watch.
  17. Never did. Yeas ago when I was living in an apartment someone left a note under the door asking if my roommate and I would be interested in letting them shoot a film but it gave no indication of what type of film. Assuming it would be porn we didn't bother.

Do you mean per kilometer? 8-10 minute miles is 6-7.5 mph, that is most definitely a running speed. 8-10 minutes a kilometer would be 3.6-4.3 mph, which is still quite brisk, and particularly given your age. That's very impressive. I'm in a state where the gyms show no signs of opening so I caved and now I go to the track and jog 2 minutes, walk a lap 8 times. Each week I plan to up the jogging time 15 seconds and work my way up to jog three miles, then run a lap walk a lap for two miles. I have back issues and am considerably overweight so I need to work my way up to real running. On the plus side there are some nice looking young men working out at the track. You may want to add some mobility work to your routine. Walking fast is great for aerobic fitness but it doesn't help a lot with, say, your ability to get up off the floor or bend down and pick something up. A good physical therapist could give you some exercises. I tell people I train to still be able to wipe my own ass and get up off the toilet, and I'm not even 50 yet...

I've been a wide range of weights over the years (between 195 and 330 at 6'3", with a broad enough frame that 195 really looks skinny, and there IS a bit of a sexual no-man's land between "could stand to lose a few pounds" and "fat" if you don't at least have a few pounds of muscle on the frame. But at each weight I had some people who seemed to find me irresistible and some people who found me repulsive. It's hard to deal with when I'm at a size I'm unhappy with.
