Would you tell your provider that you know his real name?
+ sniper replied to Yeahman's topic in The Lounge
I believe the sugar daddy basically fell on hard times and tried to take the provider down with him. I only heard one side but I believed it. -

I am aware of one provider whose sugar daddy turned on him, got him in tax trouble, and tried to get a relative who was a cop in trouble as well. So yes, stuff can and does happen. -

This is epidemic in gay rugby. Less so today but 15-20 years ago when there was more fear of losing jobs, etc. we had a lot of guys who were going by a nickname. And most people didn't realize that's what those guys were doing. The only person who would know their actual names was the guy in charge of the player registration with the governing body. And some I totally missed until years later were names of fictional characters on shows I didn't happen to watch... -
They only priced the generic about 10-20% lower than brand name, because there is only one company licensed to make it for the first year. So it's not truly generic, just effectively a second name brand. If when there are multiple manufacturers, that should cause a significant drop. It's just appalling, really, that they priced this drug in the first place at such a high fraction of the cost of the disease it prevents. We could have had a shot at nearly eradicating the virus if it were priced at a point where just everybody took it, and they would have made about the same overall profit, just lower as a percent.

A few years ago and someone you saw once? No. I would only consider telling someone if, say, their phone number being in my contacts made them come up on Facebook as "someone you may know" and to warn them they are not being as discreet as they probably want to be. -
For an extra layer of precaution you could ask for the first appointment of the day as that is probably the safest time.

Ok, but isn't that exclusivity just for the new formulation? Couldn't someone still make it the old way? Truvada's efficacy is so high, and the current retail price so high relative to the cost of treating what it prevents, that I'm finding it hard to imagine what they could do that would work there. Are people going to pay 5-10x the price for something that's 1% more effective/convenient? Will insurance companies?

What age did you hire your first escort service or erotic massage?

Went to the Gaiety at 27/28. Thomas, the big blonde guy from Alaska. That one kind of doesn't really count IMO. Second was TJ, whom I consider the first. He was pretty new at the time himself. -
Haven't you ever used a handheld shower on your ass before? Same principle.
-
I don't think that would stop the old formulation from going generic. I'm havign a hard time figuring out what they could do that would be a substantial enough improvement that people wouldn't just use the pill. There is some investigation about an injectable other drug for PreP IIRC, but personally I'd find the pill good enough given the low frequency with which I have sex.

Late in 2021 the period of exclusivity will end, at which point it is expected there will be multiple competitors, which SHOULD lead to a much sharper drop in price.

I'm sure a number have quite willingly made the trade. If some straight guys are willing to fuck a guy for 250 bucks, it stands to reason there will be more willing to do so for a shot at millions.

Uh, he was born in 1972. he's soon to be 48...

If you're semi-distantly related it's possible one person knows and the other doesn't. My mother had dozens of first cousins she lost track of, some of whom probably would know who i was when I'd have no idea who they were. The youngest kids often don't know who is who in the family because nobody bothers to tell them. It was YEARS after my parents died that I learned that "John and Mary Smith" who I assumed were just old family friends, were in fact my mother's first cousin and his wife. I have a friend who is the youngest of 14 kids and he says he can't even remember all his nieces' and nephews' names, and certainly not all their kids.

Just to play devils advocate, are you SURE he knew nothing of you? I gather from your posts that you are a person of some means, and I assume the hospitality industry keeps tabs on the high-flyers. I would think when someone like you is coming in, they tip off the staff.

My barbershop has clear floor-to-ceiling partitions between the chairs, they wear mask AND face shield, and you keep your mask on during the cut and they move the ear straps themselves. They have partitions between the seats in the small seating area as well but it hasn't been getting crowded anyway.
-
I would have just walked out when I saw they weren't wearing masks.

This isn't really that surprising. People who are hung on average probably get more sex coming their way, and if you're getting laid all the time, you're probably happier than money would make you. And if you're not getting laid, money can help you get that, so you're going to put more effort in it.

I figure I'll wait until there's more than one generic later next year and then just get some to do PreP on-demand. At my current rate of intercourse, one 30-pill bottle should last me the rest of my days....
-
That's what you're supposed to do because if you turn your back on them they may pounce and try to take you down by biting your neck.

Some stores have quietly moved the wipes behind the customer service desk to prevent hoarding. You might try going there and asking.

Masseurs that don’t offer sessions longer than 60 min. Why?
+ sniper replied to + 7829V's topic in Spas & Masseurs
because viral load is a factor in whether you develop the illness. The longer your are in the room together, the more particles you are inhaling. -
I saw you Coolwave, that satisfied my curiosity, I left because early on Joey said he was staying 'behind the scenes." I just figured hearing stories would make me more annoyed I backed out. I'll catch you at some future show I'm sure.
-
TBH I only tuned in to see Coolwave, then when Joey said he wasn't coming on I turned it off assuming he wouldn't. He came on screen later? dammit.
-
Now I have to tune in and see what I missed
