My solution is to only frequent those places where you put your plate on your tray, pile on the victuals and pay at the end of the line (hoping there’s an available seat at at a nearby table). Besides as a non-medicating diabetic all food is a necessary poison.

But what about the cheese course?
-
Cracker Barrel? You actually frequent that homophobic chain? I understand you’re from Georgia but really?

@Epigonos I believe the recipe I cited in post 44 above might interest you. As I remember, it calls for chopped beef but I suspect you could substitute venison.

At a seaside resort a bit north Penang Malaysia, I was babysitting some young relatives. Along the shore women from a number of Islamic countries were enjoying the beach. They observed a wide range of modesty. Some in full burka waded along the shore. Some more daring waded up to their waist with proper head covering. A very few even ducked their bare heads under water. Of course they were wearing one piece bathing suits that were far from revealing. But the women who took the cake was the one who wore a full burka with veil who I discovered parasailing along the shoreline above me. A regular Flying Nun! Her decent was into young men who appeared to be relatives. A really memorable moment. My young Malaysian charges had no cultural connection to the Flying Nun and couldn't understand why their "uncle" had collapsed in laughter.

I too grew up in New England and the big family feasts always included both squash and pumpkin pies together with apple and pecan. Mincemeat was relegated to wonderful crust covered squares. I’d forgotten how much I liked squash pie. Thanks @HornyRetiree.

I like the Hotel Saint-Andre. It's as trashy as I feel when slumming around the Gay Village. Plus I usually drove from NYC and it was easy to find safe parking nearby. Besides I'm a BIG fan of the Archambault Music Store. I've bought both sheet music and CD's otherwise unavailable except on line from Amazon.

Naked. In my bed, And erect!

OK! What should I do? I prefer a therapeutic massage. In fact I specifically do not want a HE. However for the free exchange of energy, I prefer the masseur be as naked as me and I want the freedom to touch the masseur in a non-erotic manner like my hand on his calf as he works on my back. How does one make such preferences known especially to a new provider? Of course if the provider dangles his dingus about my mouth for an extended period of time, I reserve the right to briefly sample although not to fulfillment. Is it possible to arrange such a session in one of the NYC spas?

Maybe with @Russ [swoon]

I too watched at home divided at the assassination of Hoffa. The acting is great from top to bottom. I’m old enough to remember most of the events. On a business trip I even managed to drive by the Red Fox Restaurant about 2 weeks after Hoffa’s “disappearance”. The attention to detail is almost OCD. I winced as all those checker cabs were trashed. I used to love riding in a checker cab in NYC.

Step right up . . .

I recently read on some internet blog (so it HAS to be true lol) that there is no more pumpkin in canned pumpkin pie filling. Instead Libby and others have developed a squash that looks and tastes like pumpkin but takes less space and water to grow. Saves them a lot of money. For me it doesn’t really matter. By the time I add my pumpkin spices (not pumpkin spice), eggs and condensed milk the importance of the “pumpkin” has diminished a bit. And if you’re looking to make real mincemeat, there’s what appears to be a good recipe on page 44 of the current issue of Taste of Home magazine that among its many ingredients are equal parts meat and rum. Let us know how it comes out.

In front of a crowd in one of your favorite Korean spas I hope.

This season I’ve seen several recipes for a chocolate bourbon pecan pie. I’m intrigued.

My favorite pie is the last one I ate (or perhaps the one I’m about to eat).

One of the most gracious escorts in this regard is @Benjamin_Nicholas. He been a fantasy of mine forever. Years ago I got up the courage make this dream a reality and set up an appointment a month or so in advance. Soon after making that appointment I was to undergo a minor melanoma procedure on my back. It was not my first. The procedure turned out to be more than minor and the recovery slower than before. When I called to cancel he could not have been more gracious. Unfortunately soon after the “SOB” moved from San Antonio to Dallas and the only time this Laredean gets to Dallas is to change planes and his frequent travels don’t seem include Laredo. Someday I’ll fulfill this fantasy. I promise.

Then there’s the many stories by Texasbearjoe. I can’t seem to post a link on this iPhone but he’s worth a Google search.

What’s your daily protocol to look good?
+ g56whiz replied to + 7829V's topic in Questions About Hiring
Lipstick on this pig is just that. I’m a non medicating diabetic so diet and exercise are standard daily events - nothing special. As for “grooming” it’s a daily 5/7 minutes in the shower where I also shampoo and shave. For me there’s no worthwhile return on spending any more time or effort on grooming. What I DO have is great inherited genes. People I first meet seldom believe I’m in my 70’s. Thanks Mom! -
Oh the seed I’ve spilled courtesy of Nifty especially in the Gay > Athletics catalog.

I’m an only child and lived and worked in NYC. My parents migrated to FL. My dad died there at the end of October. My mother and I agreed that 3 trips in successive months was unreasonable so we took it upon ourselves to make our on ways on Thanksgiving. She always went with friends. Me? Sometimes with friends, sometimes at the Greek Coffeeshop around the corner, sometimes a Swanson’s frozen turkey dinner. What I learned is that unless you get greedy about it, Thanksgiving is a really short holiday. You go in for a short day on Friday then enjoy a pleasant restful weekend.
