I leapt out of bed this morning at the sound raindrops. "Hilary has arrived!", I thought. By the time windows were all closed the rain had stopped here along the coast. Checking the weather news now, looks as though the center of Hilary has not yet arrived in Cali. Many inland areas have been receiving precip. but not so much here. I cleaned out my rain gutters yesterday to accommodate heavy rain, whenever it arrives. Best scenario for me would be for the rain to end before my Monday morning commute. For now I keep checking accuweather, their website and on TV (I like Michelle McCloud ❤)

Jeffrey never gets old. Great cast. Patrick Stewart is a treasure.

I had similar thoughts, how it would compare. Renault wrote a number of books. I'd recommend her The Last of the Wine instead of The Song of Achilles.

Been on my "want to read" list for a long time. A well regarded, award winning book. Ultimately I am in the minority. Did not appreciate the story as much as many others did.

I wish Stephen Fry had a bigger part. The film would have been more balanced if the Royal side was developed. Fry and Nicholas Galatzine had one scene together. I like Galitzine. I'd like to see him in more content. He was great in Handsome Devil and Cinderella. IMO RW&RB was like a Hallmark movie with a bigger budget. That's OK. 3 of 5 stars.

Soap operas are way more expensive to produce than talk shows. Y & R still pulls in enough viewers. Remember As the World Turns? Luke and Noah were the first gay romance on a soap. Was a huge deal. Van Hansis went on to appear in Eastsiders. Loved him in that. A lot of favorite daytime drama actors have appeared on Hallmark channel movies. IMO there are too many talk shows. Soap operas employed a lot of actors and writers. I would be happy to see a resurgence of the genre. Parry Shen played a gay lab tech on General Hospital. 💓

Personally I prefer not working with big banks. I fired Wells Fargo (I like saying that) years ago around the times they were caught with pants down, and have been tempted to give Chase the heave ho. My trust level is low. That said, I am already wondering where CD rates will be a year from now. Perhaps now is a good time to look at bonds, suggested by one investment news show on cable TV.

My session was with Billy. 🙌 Side note: I noticed quite a line of folks next door at the Thai restaurant last night. 🍲🌶

For what it's worth, I chatted briefly with Patrick while at the spa. Nice looking pleasant fellow. I assume he had a client scheduled. Perhaps someone from this board?

I skimmed an article this week that Chase has lost $75 billion deposits that flowed to banks offering better interest rates such as CD rates. I became a Chase customer back when they gobbled up the failed Washington Mutual. However I moved most of my cash to another institution that offered a 5% interest CD, earlier this year. I am not surprised to read others are doing the same. I expect Chase can weather the storm. A guy from the local branch called to invite me I to some kind of VIP relationship but I am not looking for that right now. I'd rather not hear from them.

Do you attend gay social clubs? Book clubs? Church? Softball? Bowling? Game night? Or are you asking about guys you might not know whether gay? That said, Try complimenting him e.g. you like their shirt or shoes. Show interest in whatever they bring up by responding with a question. Cultivate a friendly dialogue.

Visiting my brother in Iowa, discovered I-Home. My sister-in-law had it set up on the kitchen counter. So I said "Hey Siri, play Donde Esta Yolanda by Pink Martini". That was fun. It kept playing additional music and soon came to "Mi Confesion" by Gotan Project Love it!

I've had the same no fee credit card a long, long time. When I recently took advantage of their attractive banking CD rate the young hot latino gentleman setting up my CD reminded me my credit card is pretty old, that I ought to open a rewards card account. Fast forward 2+ months and I received an email offer to switch my same old card to a no fee rewards card, no credit check. Should I? I already have a rewards card that I use for most spending so I don't see a significant incentive for me to change the old card. The old card is more of a backup used for very specific on-line spending.

Yes, I have texted, beginning of month and again this week. His last-online time stamp is June 27th. Maybe you're right. Perhaps he is traveling. He could have turned off his phone.

Yeah He's good. Just curious his status. Quiet for 2 weeks. Anyone been in touch?

If you are in So. Cal. and enjoy live theater, Antaeus' production of The Tempest is packed with entertainment. I was reminded of another recent Shakespeare production, a wildly contemporized Romeo and Juliet at The Old Globe, where a lovestruck Romeo wondered on stage strumming his guitar and singing "How soon is now?" by The Smiths. "The Tempest" production was similar to it, with guitar, props, singing and much, much more. My friend passed on going with me, that he sticks with the classic style Shakespeare productions. I feel him, yet I had my expectations. Antaeus does good work. I enjoyed it. A talented cast and creative production. The image is from this blog's review.

Anyone know the latest with Hansen on Anaheim? His ad is gone.

I did finally see it. I liked it the same way as Bros. Some of it I liked a lot. But yeah, the memoir is such a good read, a tough act to follow.

I just finished Harvard Square, by Andre Aciman. This is the 4th book I've read by him. I like his writing style and his characters.
