Was mentioned already, and I'll reiterate, the price of cereal has skyrocketed while the number of servings per box has dropped significantly. I question the "cereal for dinner" recommendation. Hot cereal would be more economical and possibly better for you. But for a balanced diet, cereal for dinner seems unorthodox. For me, I stick to hot cereal when having cereal. My Mom usually served hot cereal. Wheaties, corn flakes, or raisin bran were a convenience, but with 5 boys, hot cereal made more sense. These days I might buy peanut butter chex or Life, but not often.

Sometimes emotional intelligence and personality can make or break building solid friendships. Not everyone knows how.

How are home utility bills, winter and summer? For a condo? For a medium size home? Hypothetically, for someone that enjoys keeping their home nice and cool during so many days over 110F, would that generate really expensive utility bills? How high could it go?

I want to see this! I have always liked Brian Jordan Alvarez. So funny. He was on Morning Joe this morning. Sounds like the NYT gave some good press. Love his wacky, clever YT content. I see English Teacher brought some of the players from "Gay and Wondrous Life...." I hope the jealous gays don't come for him. 😉 ...or the antigay crowd

I agree with most of what everyone posted. Demands on time is part of the challenge. Where I came from, my family of origin and lack of diversity in people and in worldview impacted my ability to strike up new friendships as I ventured into the world. Moving away long ago, to the West Coast, was helpful. Everywhere out here I've lived, Oregon, Bay Area, and SoCal, I've made good friends. But I've learned after moving or switching companies, that folks are not apt to keep in touch. It takes work. I get it though. People only have so much time. Having a gaggle of bar friends isn't my scene. I do have a group of friends, including a straight guy and straight woman and some gay dudes. They are all single. We have common interests and enjoy time together. But I live further out from the city so the drive for me can be exhausting. I do the best I can, and when it seems like that isn't enough I own that. My sense is anybody can feel isolated. Yes maybe being gay feels like a disadvantage, but should it? Lastly, COVID derailed some social activities that never got going again.

Boeing? Time to buy or time to sell?

With all that bad news, one might wonder if the smart money will start buying the stock. Won't be me though. -
I've been reading about Cooper Koch. He's highlighted all over the Internet lately including a shower scene in the Netflix series on the Menendez brothers. He's pretty cute. Found this funny clip with him. https://x.com/QUINNOLOGY/status/1839329679284867466/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1839329679284867466¤tTweetUser=QUINNOLOGY

Has anyone seen RmTherapy this Fall? His ad expired. Hope he returns. Last year Rene took time off, so maybe that is the case now, taking another vacation.

A well spoken colleague described playing the lottery as a cheap fantasy. With that lottery ticket in hand you could fantasize what your life might become as a multimillionaire. For $5, $10 or $20 you can enjoy imagining all the exciting things you would do. Some people claim they would use the money for good. OK!! 😉 But back to the OP, if you have a favorite provider you want to spend a chunk of $$ on, perhaps one you have a small crush, then as a newly super-rich guy what all might you plan to make that next hire memorable for the two of you. I have a fantastic masseur who is such a sweet guy. Perhaps I would come up with some kind of fantasy outcall, a massage at one of the best resorts in Southern Cal. For all his efforts I'd include a nice big tip. 😃

Exactly. I have one friend that finally moved away from PS to get away from the gradually increasing heat and another friend that is threatening to. I moved to the West Coast from Minnesota so I truly appreciate the weather in So Cal . Perhaps if I sell my place in OC and settle in PS, I could spend time away during the hottest weeks.

Dogs? I had so many great hikes with my boy , visiting PS. The Araby Trail. Out at Joshua Tree. Are there specific areas you are focusing to live? I know guys that live from one end to the other of the desert cities.

Not long ago, back home, a TV meteorologist received death threats for discussing climate change on Air. He left his job and moved away. Yet folks seem willing to believe conspiracies that our Government can cause hurricanes. SMH

May I ask the OP if any concern moving to PS with the record high temperatures, eg as high as 124F this summer? Even the overnight temperatures can remain hot. How does everyone manage living there in the summer heat? I used to think about owning a place in PS but lately I am less certain.

I was watching Godfather II tonight when I noticed Eyes Wide Shut was streaming on Showtime. I thought for a second then switched over. I know some consider it a lesser Kubrick movie, but it appeals to me. Perhaps anyone could have played Dr. Hartford successfully under Kubrick's direction. But for me, Tom Cruise was exceptional. When I think of Cruise, Eyes Wide Shut comes to mind first with a couple other of his roles. But tonight what struck me most was how good Alan Cummings was as the desk clerk. Love him. ❤️

After I came out, soon after that my brother announced his engagement to his girlfriend. Our cousin sent congratulations on both milestones. On one hand I felt like he didn't entirely fathom that I didn't suddenly realize my sexuality. Yet more importantly it was truly an admirable message from him when I think about it. I expect all affirmations are helpful to your friend to various degrees. Perhaps acknowledging he took that step, coming out, and then asking how it's going, is enough. That said, I have found it challenging when in contact with friends from the past that had expressed homophobic comments in my younger days. I wish I hadn't dwelt on the past but I did. I did not forget how difficult their behavior was. But when I think about it, what good does that do now? Perhaps his reaching out means you were significant to him. Apologizing for joking with him in the past sounds like you are over thinking it.
