CuriousGuy714 got a reaction from BriansBodywork in 411 on Grabrielgarv visiting nyc
I’ve already commented on this guy but he’s a hustler. And I’m so glad this forum exists so no one has to part with their hard-earned cash and feel completely duped! Sounds like there’s a one in a million chance you’ll have a good experience with him but are you willing to take that chance?

CuriousGuy714 got a reaction from whmf in MassagebyRene in LA
I hate to say this but I don’t think Rene is all that dissimilar to other WeHo-based masseurs. I’ve actually had massage therapists tell me how surprised they were what some guys are willing to pay for just a “sensual” option (light, feathery touches, some teasing, but not even a HE). In markets like LA, Chicago, NY, Miami, etc. it’s not unusual for un-licensed, un-trained “massage therapists” to charge $200 minimum for 60 minutes. To me that’s crazy but men are horny and will pay this to feel the touch of another guy I guess. And as long as they can get away with charging these kind of rates they’ll continue upping and upping their fees. I understand that everyone needs to make a living but there’s also a fine line between charging a fair amount and completely ripping clients off. I would say the best thing to do is find a regular masseur in your area that you trust and that gives a decent massage and stick with them! Forget booking guys on a whim based on a half naked pic they’ve photoshopped just to get you thinking with your small head not your big one….

I’ve found that bodybuilders/models don’t usually make the best massage therapists but maybe he’s the exception?

CuriousGuy714 got a reaction from Whippoorwill in Extra (unexpected) extras
I think this is quite a common occurrence actually. I’ve even had it happen after booking a “therapeutic” massage. I guess it depends on a number of factors like the masseur’s horniness, client’s level of attraction, etc. But when that ends up happening, it feels like I’m paying an escort rather than a masseur. For a 1-hr massage, I’d much prefer 50 minutes of actual massage and 10 minutes of “play.” I guess it’s a win-win for the masseur since they don’t work as hard, they end up getting off, and on top of all that, they’re paid quite well! Maybe I should consider a career change in 2025. Lol

I would strongly caution against booking with any masseur who requires a deposit. Based on the numerous threads here, 95% of the time it’s a scam. Think about the other services you get. Does your barber require a “deposit” before cutting your hair?

Don’t waste your time and hard-earned money on this one. Will short you by 15-20 mins and is completely unenthusiastic the entire time. Literally just goes thru the motions and you end up kicking yourself at the end for hiring him.

CuriousGuy714 got a reaction from Lohengrin1979 in Shorted time from masseurs you like...
For this very reason, I never schedule 90-minute sessions. You pay massage therapists for their time, so if they short you, you should compensate accordingly. By using the word “relationship” a couple of times in your post, it also sounds like you’ve grown attached to your favorites. At the end of the day though, you’re just a client to them. 90 percent of the masseurs in LA overcharge anyway, so take your hard-earned cash elsewhere if they begin to cut your appointment times short. If you absolutely can’t live without their massage, then bring it up and they should understand. If not, move on!
Again, so many take advantage of the service they’re providing and are getting paid $150+ an hour for just a mediocre massage. I know everyone in LA seems to be millionaires but these guys are making the same per hour as someone on a $300K+ annual salary. For that kind of money, their hands shouldn’t be coming off your body until the 90-min mark.
