BetweenTheSheets got a reaction from + Axiom2001 in Asian race play
I honestly think you may have missed the point of my posting.... it is really NOT simply an individual problem, it is a collective's problem.

When someone thinks it's OK to call me "Boy", there is nothing good to say about the situation.

i agree with you for the most part, but... it's not just a word: the word reflects the consciousness behind it and in this specific case, the gentleman (here) had a history of pretty nasty stuff

More to the point, "crack dealers" (which i wonder whether or not it is a coded reference to something quite different) want to avoid drawing the attention of law enforcement, not encouraging it.
just a simple business calculus.

happy that you live in what you call a desirable location, but curious what you mean by "inferior" neighborhoods.
mind to explain?

agree - i like j crew - no recognizable logo at all. just a quiet statement of who they are and what they represent.

I used to wear Chemise Lacoste polo shirts through my early 30’s. They lasted forever and looked even better with a few holes. In the 70’s, they were still made in France. The only brand names I wear now are in the athletic realm: Lululemon, Vouri and Arc’teryx. At least they’re fairly subtle brands.

i went to a culinary school... and my final exam was making a pear puff pastry tart
ever since that day, i use frozen puff pastry (haha) but it does matter which brand you buy - read the label carefully for ingredients you don't want... to me the best is the Dufour brand

Yes .
hip hop is very much a parody of the designer label
Trashy half-naked "hoe" rolling around on a Gold Plated Mercedes decked out in Louis Vuiton .
Literally makes a joke of the whole industry. It's the opposite of class.

Yup
That's my go-to if I make dessert for a sit-down dinner party.
Marscapone cheese with almond extract, a little brown sugar and sliced pears wrapped inside a Dufour puff pastry buttered on the outside with another sprinkle of sugar.
Delicious.

Different countries, different brands, but there are choices here about which one you want. I went out and bought some pastry after hearing that segment on the radio. Store brand, $2.30 ($US1.65) for a one kilo packet, six sheets 25x25cm, great for simple recipes like sausage rolls and quiches. I'd pay more for a fancy dessert recipe. That price isn't much more than a kilo of flour.

If you lose significant weight you might not need the Viagra. You might not need other meds either.
Think of how much better you will feel dropping that weight. It’s like finally putting down a 25kg bag of sand.
After I lost 40lb of weight I would occasionally go to my local Petco to pick up a 40lb bag of dog food just to see what that feels like. It’s scary to do that and it’s no wonder why I used to feel so tired when I was heavier

Perhaps because I come from a nation where people performing "race play" figures deeply into our national consciousness... where sex tourism runs rampant..... where the very possibility of a meaningful relationship between an Asian and a white/western person must overcome so many hurdles for it to be even possible
Perhaps because I am a young, Asian person who is often fetishized for NOT fitting into conventional stereotypes of the Asian man
Perhaps I need to bottle up my rage a bit (something we Asians are widely acknowledged to be SOOO good at,,,)

you speak the truth - once people stop fixating on neighborhoods that are "trending", even though NYC housing prices have been and always will be ridiculously out of sync with most other cities, "affordable" places are there to be found with a little bit of work and some flexibility in standards.
but gone are the days, i guess, of $125 apartments in the east village with the famous tub in kitchen, haha

Okay, I will weigh in here. Each situation is different just as each person is an individual and therefore different. Those who may recoginize my posts know that I have had several "arrangments" over the last close to 10 years now. I am single but have a very full life, so I am really not looking for someone 24/7. In fact that would be more work than the benefits it brought. So I have never had someone local. I see them about once every 6 weeks. They get an allowance and I pay all expenses. One I paid $2,000 a month. He lived in Philadelphia. Lots of travel and airfares. One I leased and apartment in NYC for $ 5,000 a month (nice place in Hell's kitchen, no hotel bills) Third one I paid $1,500 a month . Again lots of travel and airfares. Currently a new guy on the west coast, $1,500 a month. Travel is going to be pricey as I fly him first class. He is the best of all and I will probably pay him more if it stays as positive. All of these guys have had gainful employment and saw me about once every 6 weeks. I am sure that I wasn't the only one they saw, but maybe the only one that compensated them. They all ended pleasantly for good reaseons, got out of school, transferred etc. I have great memories of all and would greet them fondly if our paths crossed. As for the $120,000 guy. If that's all he did then I suppose the comp is fair. Quite frankly I don't know if would respect someone that was that shall we say shallow? Or want them under foot 24/7. I like the arrangements (and the escorts) that are using this income as a suplement to their long term goals. Being an old guy. I have run accross guys from the past, and well maybe they weren't that 28YO muscle boy anymore. I like the guys that realize that and have a plan.
