Moderator's Note: We are veering into advertising here. Company of Men's Community Guidelines have this to say about advertising: 10. Advertising without prior permission is not allowed. Members may include links to their escort or masseur sites in their signature lines. Traveling escorts and masseurs may post their travel plans in the “Traveling Providers” forum following the guidelines for that forum. Requests to advertise on the site should be posted to the “Ask a Moderator” forum. Please refrain for posting comments that smack of advertising. If anyone wishes to advertise, please post a request to the "Ask a Moderator" forum. If you are unsure whether your post could be considered a form of advertising, please ask BEFORE you post it.

Welcome to the Company of Men. I'm glad you found us. The Delaware County website has a page of LGBT+ resources. Some are located in Philadelphia, but by the looks of it, Delaware County isn't very far from Philadelphia, so perhaps they are doable for you. You mentioned not having been to Philadelphia in years, so maybe now is a good time to venture into the city. When I came out in the mid-1990's at age 32 (older Gen-X here) I was concerned about losing family and friends. I lost no one. Granted, my situation was different than yours (never married, no kids) but the fact is being gay doesn't mean you lose people. Several of the older (70+) men in the coming out group I co-facilitated had the same concern and, frankly, it just didn't happen. There is hope! The older gentlemen in our group would recommend two organizations to our older first-time members. One is Prime Timers Worldwide, a social group that has local chapters in many cities. It looks like the Northern New Jersey chapter is the one closest to you. The other is an advocacy and resource group called SAGE. If I was recommending a group to try first, it would be SAGE. At first glance, it might look like you would not benefit from their services, but I think they could help point you in the direction of what you are looking for. EDIT: The gents in our group would quickly mention to the younger guys that they were welcome, also. A couple of the twenty-somethings joined them and found it very enlightening. Lastly, I couldn't help but notice you started and ended your first post with commentary about negative feedback: First, let's call negative feedback what it is: rude, hurtful, vindictive, and mean behavior. Those who engage in that are jerks. Don't even bother with them - they won't listen to what you said and will be hurtful anyway. Second, and this is from personal experience, when you lead with negativity, negativity has a habit of finding you. I spent a pretty good chunk of my life doing that and I was miserable. Once I let go of that (and it wasn't easy) I was much happier and became more open to other people. Hang in there! There is hope. This forum right here is a good place to be. We have people (yes, we have a few women who are members) of all backgrounds. Generally speaking, folks are helpful and supportive. When they aren't, other members will keep them in check. I look forward to your continued participation in the forum.

Not much of a TV watcher here, but when a good show comes along, I binge-watch the hell out of it. That was the case with "Unstable," starring Rob Lowe and his son John Owen Lowe. Rob Lowe is a quirky genius scientist who almost loses the company due to his bizarre behavior after his wife dies. John Owen Lowe plays his son who is summoned from NYC to save his dad. While it isn't exactly Masterpiece Theatre, it is very cute, goofy, and funny. You even get to see Rob Lowe shirtless. Anybody else watch it?

What's considered acceptable medical care in your country?
rvwnsd replied to a topic in Men's Health
Exactly! That's why it's called "single-payer." -
Gotta admire his honesty.

Sliding back toward the topic... This is a great lesson in the importance of knowing one's market. Given the comments, no one here had heard of "drip" and "drippy" used in this way. I'll go out on a limb and say this also applies to a large proportion of the hiring population. It's never a good idea to confuse and/or turn off your intended clientele. Thank you, @keroscenefire for enlightening us about this new slang term.

There are a few missing steps here. See below: Go to his ad on rentmen.com (or wherever you saw it). Copy the URL at the top of the page. Click the "link" icon on the toolbar to display the "link" pop-up Paste that URL in the space marked "URL" Click "Insert the Link" Press Submit. When you paste the URL directly into the body of the message the forum software will usually display the link accompanied by an image from the RM ad. RM tends to cycle through the images in the ad, so when the ad includes explicit pics, one of them will eventually be displayed. Explicit pics are not allowed in the public areas of the site. That is why I posted and pinned the "please read" topic at the top of The Deli. Link to topic about posting links.

A few things: Cash App is not a Google product. It is a product of Block, Inc which was formerly known as Square (now one of Block's divisions). The best place to learn about safeguarding yourself and your funds when using Cash App is their Support page. There you will find a plethora of information.

Moderator's note: The pizza has been ordered. We also picked up a couple of salads. Plenty for everyone.

I use Alexa at home, but since I chose the male voice and you can't use "Alex" as a wake word, I call him Echo. Regarding Siri, I use him to get directions and make calls in the car.

Sad to hear. When the founders still owned and ran the company their furniture was anything but bland. However, like many corporate retailers, they succumbed to the trend of everything being cream, grey, beige, creige, greige, bleige, etc. Dull, dull, dull.

At the very top of list of "The Deli" topics is a thread titled "PLEASE READ! Posting Links to Providers' Ads." As the title says...

I would politely explain that I have no experience with women and can't help him get a girl. In other words, tell him the facts.

That is pretty funny. The founders of the chain sold it several years ago. Sounds like the private equity owner tried restructuring a little too late. Sad situation, for sure.

Here in Arizona, Kroger is called "Fry's" and they do the same thing. I don't like Fry's, anyway, and this practice hasn't exactly improved my perception of them, their surly employees, or their messy stores. Also, their self-checkout is pretty klunky. On the other hand, my local Safeways (one is a pretty small store and the other is huge) installed self-checkout in addition to the existing checkout lanes and typically have all lanes open. (Both are very, very busy urban stores) Safeway's self-checkout is pretty good and I actually like using it. Plus, it took some pressure off the harried cashiers. I use self-checkout for small- to medium-sized orders. Safeway's cashiers and baggers are always very nice and the self-checkout area is small, so for large orders I typically opt for a checker.

Moderator's Note: Let's keep this thread on topic (former escort convicted of murdering a doctor, for those who have forgotten) and quit arguing with each other.

@marylander1940, several years ago I looked into doing independent consulting. The former HR director at my former employer (we were laid off after the company was acquired by a competitor) had been a contractor and we had lunch to discuss pros and cons, dos and don'ts, etc. She was a very nice lady and in her very nice lady voice she said to me "Remember, rvwnsd, many people are a**h**es."

In absence of forum member experience, you could contact one of the recent reviewers who met him. I've done that and others have contacted me. In my experience, guys give honest feedback.

You took the words right outta my keyboard.

My favorite part is "...find a sugar mommy or daddy one day so I don’t have to deal with all the flakes here haha ..." Very charming.

Right. The previous version of RM was the same, but you didn't have to perform a gymnastics routine to find the date.

Moderator's Note: Just a reminder to follow our Guidelines about not posting images and text that is not publicly available and/or which we do not have permission to share. We've had to hide a handful of posts. Please don't make us hide more and/or start issuing warnings. Thank you.

Click ont he picture to expand it, move the cursor to the top of the pic, and the date displays.

He now calls himself Brunnoski on Rentmen. FWIW, his most recent (9/3/23) pic was taken in Chicago where he is listed as being located.

What is considered "upscale" to one person can be considered "pedestrian" to another. Comments like "upscale for upscale" don't deter me from contacting a guy, but an ad consisting of one nearly invisible photo does deter me.
