Saw this movie today and LOVED it. Denzel Washington plays an attorney. But, he has some social issues and problems interacting with others. He's mainly "behind the scenes" at his law firm and does all the research / paperwork for his partner who does the courtroom stuff. Great story line and some wonderful acting. Also some good twists and turns in the plot.

My "go to" station is KFI. It's what I listen to 90% of the time at work.

I usually listen to the radio at work and it's always talk shows, podcasts, or news shows. Rarely listen to broadcast music. But, I do have my favorite CDs / MP4s that I listen to.

Was surprised to see their ad on Daddy's Review site today. Why in the world would he allow their advertising on his review site??

I currently have 3 residence and a vehicle at each location. 2 of my 3 vehicles are stick shifts including the 1 I drive the most in San Diego.

Garrison Keillor was accused of sexual issues and fired by Minnesota Public Radio. Today, the San Diego PBS had renamed the program to The Chris Thile Show. Is this going to be the new name?? Reuters claims the new name is Town Hall. USA Today killed a previous post of a name change and said it hasn't been decided. Was the name changed this weekend in your area?

My current employer seems to be gay-friendly. They provide FREE health insurance for domestic partners. And, one of my current gay co-workers has his domestic partner on our company insurance. But, my current assignment is with a joint-venture company. That means that 3 different companies have "made" a joint-venture company. Very common when dealing with a large project like my current assignment. The other 2 joint-venture partners are NOT as gay-friendly as my company. So, a low profile is important. In addition, we have no control over how the customer / owner perceives gay issues. This particular owner is , IMHO, homophobic. So, keeping my gayness out of the workplace is my choice and preference. This practice has served me well for over 25 years. I'm not about to change now. Some co-workers, owners and stakeholders prefer NOT to know about my private life. So, I don't make my private life a workplace issue. I do my job and earn a very good paycheck.

I've been totally out and open to family and friends since 1981. However, I don't see the need to be a gay icon at work. If someone asks, I certainly don't deny it. But I don't see the need to make being gay a workplace issue. And, on my current project there are at least 3 of us that are gay we often do things together / clubbing off the job. But on the job it's business and doing the job we're getting paid for. And, I currently work on a highly visible $1.5B project that receives federal funding. It was a lengthy process to get me approved for this position. Having been here for 3 years I know the owner probably wouldn't have approved me if I had a visible gay presence. That's why I keep my personal internet profile very private. I know the owner and our joint venture partners did social media searches on me prior to my assignment on the project. I also worked with a defense contractor and had a top secret security clearance (before and after coming out). I certainly didn't lie about my sexual orientation to get the clearances. But, again, I kept my private life out of the workplace. I'm very involved in the gay community and love it. But, it's just not a workplace issue.

I would seriously suggest you try a situation like mine if you're on a contract to hire situation. Get yourself a cheap place until you know if it's going to be a permanent position. Feel free to PM me if you want info on my specific apt. Not a lot of room but it sure meets my needs. And, it also has on-site laundry and room cleaning 2 times per month. Don't know about employment tax rate. But, I have to pay an addition $5K per year since my employer's "standard" deduction is not enough. But, I just roll the additional amount each month into a savings account so I have the $$ on hand. Don't know about utility costs since it's included in my rent. But, I have co-workers complaining about their utility bills. And I just gased up at Costco for $3.05 per gallon. Stations near me are $3.50+ per gallon. They just raised the gas tax $0.12 per gallon this month. The state will raise gas tax to $0.60 per gallon over the next 3 years.

I was transferred to San Diego almost 3 years ago. It is a VERY expensive city for housing, gas, etc. I live in Hillcrest and really enjoy that neighborhood. But, I work in La Jolla. My studio apt in Hillcrest is furnished, utilities included, free WIFI, cable, and covered (underground) parking. I pay $1,ooo per month and that be doubled if I relocated to La Jolla. The down side to my apt is that it is only 170 square feet. But, it is safe and I'm very cheap. FYI, this is my 3rd time living here. The first time I had a 600 square foot studio in La Mesa for $150 per month.

Family coming in from Utah to my Portland home (I'm flying there tomorrow from San Diego where I work). Plan to have an early dinner around 1:00. After that is complete, they're driving to Seattle for a 2nd (later) dinner with the boyfriend's family.

My father did that once. And, we too, talked about it for years. It was even mentioned at his funeral.

I have Broadway tickets and playbill going back to my first show in 1978.

This is one of my favorite shows. Have seen it in NYC and several touring shows. Not something to be missed.

I was in the Navy and assigned to submarines. I have a large collection of submarine plaques. I also have a fairly large collection of 78 rpm records dating back to the early 1900's (my grandfathers collection). My last collection is guns and rifles. At last count I had 17 guns and 3 rifles. The rifle collection includes my grandfathers WW I rifle and another from WW II.

I really liked it. It went thru her early life and professional life. Appropriate music was linked to her life story. FYI, not sure many remember her "Adam & Steve" comment. But, as I was living in Salt Lake City, the clubs immediately stopped playing her music after that incident. In this play, this comment was explained and it was like an apology was issued to the gay community. Personally, I really appreciated that part of the play. Would I see this play again?? IN A MICRO-MINUTE!!!

Fantastic show!!! Very strong cast with wonderful vocals. Would love to see it again. FYI, I was very surprised at how small this venue is. I'm used to theaters with 2500-3000 seats. I estimate this was less than 1000 seats - all main floor.

Unless you've been sexually abused as a kid, HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU STATE THAT THE KIDS NOT GOING TO BE SCARRED FOR LIFE?!?!?! I've worked with and known NUMEROUS guys that were abused as kids. This doesn't go away. It affects them the rest of their lives.

According to one website I found: Basically, if you look at most North American styles of circumcision you will find that they perform what is often referred to as a 'high and tight' cut.
