  1. Also saw this yesterday and I agree the kids did a fantastic job. But, I consider this one of the strangest movies I've seen. There were a couple of things in the story line that just didn't make sense.

  2. Remarkable movie, powerfully engaging evocation of war's cruelty and insanity with (and despite) almost no background on any character. The scenography and cinematography are incredible. I didn't expect to like it, but was knocked out by the film-making.

    Ditto. Really liked this movie.

  3. Had one AND a white Dinner Jacket...

I've performed in gay choruses for years and a tuxedo and dinner jacket were required all the time. But, rather than buying new, I would wait until the rental companies sold their 1-year old rentals. I picked up my current tux for less than $100 and it's been well worth it.

  4. Summer: The Donna Summer Musical Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Previews start March 28th

Saw this play at the La Jolla Playhouse. Really enjoyed it. Granted, there were changes that needed to be made, I hope the Broadway version fixes those issues. But, I'd see it again in a micro-minute.

  5. Ultimately, Atlantis is going into PR overdrive in an attempt to make this go away.

Drugs are a problem on these boats: I've seen it first-hand, many times. While they can't eliminate the issue, they can do more to ensure a better environment.

Toxicology will figure out this particular guy's issue, but I hope Rich Campbell (CEO of both major gay cruise lines) takes this as an opportunity to reflect on existing protocol and if things need to be changed.

From what I've seen, my definition of zero tolerance is very different than theirs. A lot is swept under the rug.

Ditto. Been on several Atlantis cruises. Could get any drugs I wanted - but I don't use drugs. It's an open secret that drugs on Atlantis cruises are readily available.

  6. I have been on the Viking Danube cruise and soon doing the Rhine one with them. Highly recommended. You get to see major cities on a small floating hotel; no packing and unpacking; no getting on and off trains; no checking into and out of hotels. The cities come to you. Primarily, the boats move at night so you wake up in a new city.

Meals, beer and wine are included as are most tours. Normally, the boats dock in the center of the city so you can get on and off easily. In Vienna, the subway was about a block away and they gave us a pass if we wanted to go off on our own.

Capacity on the boats are under 200 people. Nice and friendly fellow passengers and crew.

All price range cabins are available.

I've done 2 Viking cruises and would NOT consider anything but Viking. We usually chose the cheaper lower deck. The only time we're in the room is to sleep and spend lots of time on the spacious deck. Can't justify paying more for the cheapest room. Food is always fantastic (including wine) and the tours are spot on. They usually offer 2 tours in each city. One for "normal" people and another for "mobility challenged". I've done both and they are great.

  7. These are my current favorite Belami models; I do have different types

Hoyt Kogan - I think he is handsome

Alec Morrison - I think he is adorable

Holy shit!!! I love these links. They are all exactly my type.

  8. A story that is close to my heart. I was raised Mormon and did my 2-year mission before coming out. I fully support his position and feel that the rigorous rules for missionaries will help him with the discipline required for being part of a football team.

Best of luck to him. And, I'd also love to see him darkening the door to my bedroom.

  9. I hear folk used to do that in the bad old days in NYC: carry an old wallet stuffed full of ones and expired credit cards. It's not like the mugger is going to inspect the contents thoroughly before scampering off.

    Kevin Slater

I've been doing that for years!! I've actually given up my old wallet twice while being mugged in Detroit.

  10. If you are in Utah and can afford a trip to Vegas---Get an evening with Peter Hung.... Tell him the whole deal before---and you will be more than satisfied with your "first" entry into a bi experience... Take him to dinner and then a few hours in your hotel and you will see what you have been missing...The only problem will be that when you hire in the future---you will attempt to match everyone else up to Peter's standards and they will not meet your first evenings entertainment.... Let me hear your thoughts...

I am a huge Peter Hung fan. I hire him again in a micro-second.

  11. Planning to retire in May and want to replace my TV in Portland. Not doing any research on-line. Too much hassle and too many options.

My niece is the nerd in the family that does all that. Plan to fly her out to Portland and help me figure out what I really need. Why do all the research on my own when I have a family member like her?

  12. Saw the touring show last night in Salt Lake City and I was blown away!! What a fantastic play.

I suspect it was on Broadway the same time as Hamilton and was in the shadows. But, it is one of the best plays that I've seen. The music is great and I loved the numerous references to musicals that I've seen through the years.

Many of the actors in the touring show were on Broadway. I couldn't believe I was seeing this show in Salt Lake City and not on Broadway. You really don't want to miss this play if it comes to your town. I'm already searching to see if it comes to San Diego so I can see it again.

And, lot of great eye candy in the cast.

  13. Probably the doctor considered communication with you more important than a holiday. I’m not bothered by the fact he did this. Unusual yes. Caring and concerned yes also.

I've had my primary care doc call me on holidays, weekends, and other "unusual" times. I really have appreciated his care and concern. Wish all my other DRs did the same thing.

  14. I always loved watching her on TV. But, I had no idea of her connection to Al Capone and other mafia types.

I remember seeing her on stage in 4 Girls 4, with Rosemary Clooney, Margaret Whiting, and Barbara McNair. Fantastic show.

Didn't know until I read the article below that all her numbers were cut from the film Top Banana. Apparently, a producer propositioned her and, in front of the crew and cast, she said "You couldn’t get it up if the flag went by.”

    RIP.
