I followed the thread on this site about the 2 dancers that were found dead in a Canadian Quarry. A very sad event.

But, I recently saw on another website that a company is going to be releasing a video made by the two guys! Here's the post:

Are you ready for this? Brokeback Quarry?

Two American Guys who had been working as strippers in a Gay Club in Toronto were found dead in a Quarry in Montreal last year after they had been missing for several weeks. One of the guys, Mark Kraynak, was an ex-soldier who fought in Iraq and who also had done gay porn work for Activeduty.com (activeduty.com is the company at the center of the current "GIs doing Gay Porn Scandal"). Kraynak's mother has been alleging that her son wasn't gay, that he was forced to do gay porn, and that he was killed because he was trying to get out of gay porn.

Well, The adult company that Mark Karynak and Steve Wright worked for is set to release a film starring Kraynak & Wright. According to reports, Kraynak has three scenes in the film and Wright has three scenes. And, as if that is not enough, Wright's mother (a single parent) is set to receive some of the proceeds from the film. CLICK HERE for more

I'm not going to be buying the movie. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

The tragedy is that they were running away to avoid paying a cab driver the fare he was due for driving them to a gay club in Laval, just across the river from Montreal. I think the fare was only about $14.00 (but I could have that wrong) Split 2 ways - they jumped to their death to save 7 bucks.

Interesting article(s). I love how it fails to note that after Kraynak's death that Active Duty immediately pulled all videos and pictures of Kraynak from its website just to prevent this sort of thing and their movie is now only available through third-parties...

I also like how a poster cites 'reports' that Active Duty is a subsidiary of FCF, the company planning to release the video, but fails to back that up in any way, even though the companies seem to have had completely opposite responses to releasing work done by Kraynak after his death.

This is my first post and would like to say hello to everybody!

This is an interesting topic. When it comes to porn, death and making money, I suspect that money will win out most every time. Sad but probably true.

I guess the question really is; when a porn star dies like Joey Stefano, Matt Gunther, etc., should all videos they appeared in be pulled and no longer sold or rented? Their deaths were tragic too, but from what I see, their videos are still readily available.

I personally find it creepy to be viewing a video in which one of these passed porn stars pops up in <no pun intended>. It kind of takes away from the moment. It's kinda like watching a movie where the twin towers appear in the background. Suddenly, the movie takes a back seat for a moment.

I realize that this situation is somewhat different with all the publicity and such, but for me, there are too many hot videos out there to be interested in this one, just because of the circumstances surrounding it.

Welcome F A ..Of course we all know, this isn't the First or Last Time, this type of Money Making Marketing will be used.

There has in the past been Guys, who have done Porno, such as "DANTE"

who worked for Jet Set & Other's.. He Passed Quietly, Much to soon, and there was never, to my knowledge, a Cause of Death, stated as was his Families wishes.

But a somewhat "Mysterious" Scenario will always bring the Sharks around for the Feeding Frenzy..Sometimes LATER than Sooner..I am sure they will SELL quite a few Copies, regardless!

IMHO..of course.. :7

Actually they were going to a straight club in Laval which was an after hours place, having left another straight club downtown where they had tried picking up girls. There has not been any suggestion they were anything but "gay for pay". And the taxi ride was a half hour trip off the Island of Montreal at 3 in the morning which would be about $40 or so. Still no reason for two guys who were reportedly making over $5000 a week dancing at Remingtons all summer to stiff a poor cabdriver who probably was making $600 a week.

I guess I had a couple of the pertinent details wrong, but the jist of my post still stands. Whether they were trying to save 7 bucks or 20 isn't really important - either way it sure wasn't worth dying over. I know we shouldn't be disrespectful of the dead, but it's hard to get overly worked up over a pair of white trash hustlers.

Fallen Angel,

I'd also like to welcome to the group. Your first post really hits a core issue. Like you and J.T. pointed out, there have been way too many porn stars that have died either from accident, suicide, drugs, illness, or murder.

You're right that's really not practical to pull those videos and make them unavailable for purchase or rent. Perhaps seeing an actor who has died doesn't bother most people. For example, I still enjoy some of the Christopher Reeve movies (Death Trap, Superman, Somewhere in Time, etc.). There's a certain sadness knowing he's gone but I still enjoy the pictures.

But, for some reason, my reaction is different for adult entertainers. Can't explain why. It doesn't make sense. But, it is too creepy for me to try and have sexual pleasure while watching someone who has died. I can't watch movies with Dante, Kurt Marshall, Joey Stefano, or other departed guys.

But, this particular case really bothers me. Perhaps it's because I perceive that the video company is intentionally exploiting the death of another person. It's one thing to allow previously-made videos to continue to be sold. IMHO, it's an entirely different matter when you CREATE a money opportunity after someone has died. Perhaps it goes to motive.

Thanks for bringing a thoughtful view point to the discussion.
