+ StLouisOct Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Way too trendy and extreme by preppy standards. He’d look out of place at “The Club.”
gallahadesquire Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Near perfection. I wonder where he prepped and which Ivy he’s going to (or maybe Stanford). marylander1940 and Becket 2

+ Pensant Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 My point! That's so Burberry! these days, Burberry is definitely not preppy. Ditto with Prada, LV or other brands. Southerners love the preppy look most of all. In the Northeast, it’s much more muted. Read “Class” by Paul Fussell for a great commentary on “trying too hard” to look the part. That said, I’m ashamed to say that in my 20’s I owned and used the following: Lacoste shirts, made in France Bass Weejuns with tassels beat up Made in USA Topsiders without socks Alden shell cordovan tassel loafers numerous Brooks Brothers and Southwick suits Royall Bay Rhum silk grosgrain belts Kelly green pants and blazer Nantucket reds ad nauseum marylander1940 1

Ivy students certainly still fall asleep in class and often look as if they just woke up when arriving for class. But, they are friendly and dress down. Few Catholics.
gallahadesquire Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Brooksbrother shirts for years. Docker haki’s. David Koresh brand charcoal pants (with real charcoal)!
