I always use text first.....phone call second....email last choice because of the reason you stated. @asntop74 , why didn't you text or call him? That way he can't give an excuse like he gave. If you use email, the masseur has an easy out that he did not see it until it was to late, like in your example. With text or phone calling it is instant.

Normally, I would text or call, I had a very hectic work schedule and flight and had a lot of colleague around me who could see my phone and my text, e-mail was the most discreet at the time, otherwise I would have called or text.
