Sheesh. February is a HUGE recruiting month for law and finance firms. Why oh why is everyone scheduling social events during the busiest week of a second semester 1st year's life. That's quite alright, give me another 2 years or so and I'll have the first week of Feb declared no socialize zone. It will be illegal to have fun during the first week of February.

 

In any rate, can we do it on Wednesday the 8th or would the king and prince have already departed by this date?

Hey DC Guys,

 

The DC crowd does not seem to get together all that often but here's a chance to do something about that. Both KY Top and Steven Draker will be in town in early February.

 

Its looking like either February 6 or 7 would be good for a little gathering at Annie's Paramount Steakhouse on 17th NW. Check out the thread in Traveling Hoovillians, "Wash DC Feb 6-9", and feel free to join us if you are interested. We are still settling in on a date and time but it would be nice to see more people join the fun.

 

This is a great chance for old friends to see each other again and for new guys to make some new acquaintances as well.

Oh, by the 23rd I'd have an offer and thus you and I Scott can finally run off together and start our dream life full of wild orgasms, legs behind head(s) and midnight dinners on the beach with blue drinks...watching our carb intake of course.

Are we taking clients between blue drinks and midnight strolls or will the offer cover those expenses. Some (although I couldn't imagine why) would say I'm pretty high matinence :*

Derek and I had breakfast there a few times on our recent trip. Good food, fun gay waiters* (we don't seem to have those anymore in NYC), but what's up with the cigarette smoking? Blech...I'm spoiled by our anti-smoking laws here, I guess.

 

*Speaking of waiters at Annie's, there's one (I forgot his name) with a hot ass who was getting Derek and me worked up by working it in our direction. And yes, it did get him a nice tip. }(

A smoking ban was just passed in DC. If Congress doesn't kill it within 30 legislative days, the first part of the ban (indoor workplaces and restaurant dining rooms) will take affect immediately.

 

The second part of the ban (bars, nightclubs, taverns and the bar areas of restaurants) will take affect in January 2007.

Guys it was great to see and meet all of you at dinner this evening. Steven, Jay, thanks for holding up the escort end of the table.
