I participated in a few BodyElectric events years and years ago, and know a lot of folks who've gone through the training. (Am also acquainted with the founder.) It's definitely a powerful constellation of techniques. Not really for me, ultimately, but I've seen it have a transformative impact within the lives of a wide array of guys.

Joseph Kramer founded the Body Electric School in the 80s. This is the current iteration of his online presence

The website, like his many videos, is distinctly "homegrown" in style. It contains offerings for many tastes, only some of which may be of interest. The school itself is still active, although it's passed through several hands and various personnel changes over the years. It offers workshops in mostly big coastal cities. The work that they teach has evolved somewhat, but it's still based on the original blend of AIDS-era reclamation of eros for gay men, New Age pan-spirituality and co-opted Eastern "Taoist" philosophy. Definitely not for everyone, but may be of value to the seeker.

I got my start in massage through workshops that were largely rooted in Body Electric, from there, erotic work just became a natural extension. I think everyone can benefit from attending a body electric workshop.

I totally agree with you. The practitioners that I have taken these classes are amazing. Your extrapolation of the foundations of BE must be amazing!

I did the initial workshop when I was first coming out and it was extremely helpful; a few years later, I did a second one at Wildwood; met some wonderful men and furthered my development as a gay man; I'm not sure how it has changed over the years, but I think at least the initial workshop would be worthwhile.
