Diary of A Geisha

Among the many appearently good movies out this season. I am planning on seeing Diary of a Geisha. I have taken particular interest in it as I was studying the history of Geisha in order to better understand andpresent myself as an Escort. The cinematography looks great in this film and I'm hoping that the content and context of the film match the stunning visuals.

It will be interesting to see how they portray the Geisha on film here. Originally the Geisha were Male individuals. They were educated, sophisticated, well socialized and amazing in the arts of dialogue, humor, music, counsel during war and politics... as well as private discrete personal companions. I would love to find other Escorts such as myself who have taken a similar interest and approach to their Escorting and create a forum or collective group. Anyone interested or know any Escorts they think might be interested?

I prefer to take the simple approach: be clean, be passionate, and make sure the client leaves with a smile on his face. All that other stuff sounds like way too much work (plus, I don't think I'd look good in a kimono or white pancake makeup).

Tyger - I think that research like that sounds like a wonderful idea. Can I assume you've read the book this movies based on and found it helpful? Would you please recommend about three other sources for escorts who feel they might be interested in these studies?

Yes, do read the book if you haven't. I remember it giving a good, albeit non-scholarly, look some history of geisha.

 

Maybe you'll create your own class of "new" geisha. Maybe they'll name it after you!
