Maybe a dumb question but if someone could please help ! - I've never eaten a guy's ass before but was thinking of trying it with my boyfriend. What is the "etiquette" for trying this? Do guys usually shower right before - or how do u check if, u know, the guy is clean there?

Ah, my area of expertise (on the receiving end, that is). First of all, you should not have to check; your boyfriend (or whoever you're going to rim or blow or whatever) should not be entering a sexual situation without being clean. That's everyone's own responsibility and I think it really should be the cardinal rule (or is that golden rule?) of sexual etiquette.

 

I will never forget this raunchy Redd Foxx comedy album that my father used to play when I was a little kid. Here's a pic (someone has it on ebay at the moment):

The gist of the title routine ("You gotta wash your ass") was that, before you get into bed with your partner, "You got to wash yo' ass...you don't have to wash your whole ass, but at least wash your ass hole." (Hey, it sure cracked my father and me up when I was 7 years old.) It's funny what you hear as a child; some things escape but some things can stay with you forever, and "You gotta wash your ass!" has always stayed with me. I'm always squeaky clean; even if I've recently showered, I shower again right before heading out the door (and it's why I'm sometimes caught in the shower when a client shows up at my door).

 

But...what do you do if you don't know whether the other guy has ever heard that Redd Foxx album or not? What should you do if you don't know if his ass is clean? Hmm...I guess "You gotta ask!" :+

A few week's ago, just before I was due to move into a new condo, I rimmed an escort I had been with several times. He certainly looked clean and I really got into it. An obvious question. Have you had your Hep A&B shots? I wouldn't engage in rimming if I hadn't had these. Of course, that doesn't rule out amoebas or other parasites. This is where cleanliness can help.

Can anyone tell me how long the Hep shots are good for? Is that a one-time only requirement, or must they be re-done every few years?

The Hepatitis shots require three visits. On the first you will receive shots for both Hepatitis A and B. A month later you go back for a booster shot for Hepatitis B. Six months later you return for a second booster for Hepatitis B, at which point you are supposed to be immunized for life against both types.

 

If you haven't had these shots call your doctor today and schedule an appointment. In Boston we have a free clinic on Thursdays that gives these shots to anyone who walks in the door and asks for them. Maybe there is such a thing in your area. But don't wait to think this over - just do it. It is risk-free, and it is one of the few things that we can activiely do that absolutely prevents the transmission of certain STDs.

UHM ...... yeah, you SHOWER! And you man douche. There is no way you would want to eat a dirty ass unless this is your fetish. Etiquette dictates you BATHE and SCRUB DOWN before you do this!!!!

IMO, yes to the shower, with a lot of scrubbing and getting a soapy finger up there, but absolutely NO to the douche. Unless you want to swallow a mouthful of water that isn't exactly of Poland Springs purity.

Yeah, if you're not going to get fucked, douching is not something I'd recommend, either. It isn't healthy because it washes away the necessary healthy bacteria in your body. As for having a minty ass...nice idea, but not for me. I like my ass to be squeaky clean, but I also like my sex partner to taste me. The natural clean taste of a man's ass shouldn't be covered up with chemical mintiness. :o
