And it is. You get a lot of bling for your buck but the real reason to come is the Rockettes. Where else do you see so many precision high kicks and routines?

These gals work hard for their money and of course the theater is an architectural jewel. Just be prepared for the overpriced merchandise. Still its a fun way to kick (ho ho ho) off the holiday season.

As a kid, I always enjoyed the Christmas Show and still do today. As foxy mentioned, the Rockettes are amazing and mesmerizing. Add the organ music, the light show, the orchestra, numerous performances, and you truly have a Christmas spectacular.

 

Also, there's a brief 3D show that has Santa traveling around the world and landing right in front of Radio City.

 

The recreation of the Nativity scene still uses live animals and is done to perfection with a wonderful Christmas story.

 

The Rockefeller Christmas Tree is up, but has scaffolding all around it. The ice skating rink is open and the area is starting to look very festive.

The show is nearly always on TDF and TKTS for those who have the access.

 

RCMH is a barn of a venue (with the sound and sightlines to match), but it's tradition for many.

This is one of my favorite shows. Have seen it in NYC and several touring shows. Not something to be missed.
