Well given the number of likes I had here about my outrage at their freebie option, they don’t seem to understand that it doesn’t appeal to many escorts or clients.

Most Escorts: I have to work for free? Fuck that.

Most clients: I have to pay but they get it for free, just because they work for RB.pro? Fuck that.

They are reading us and making adjustments following feedback. I cannot remember if the "freebie" option was there the first time I checked the site, or if I learned about it here. I re-read the FAQs before publishing the post in my blog, and it is not there. They talk about meeting the professional at his request, and they talk abut "sampling", but it is not explicitly stated.

Indeed they are reading us. They asked me to delete the message I posted earlier on in this thread with all their whois information, because one of their mailboxes had been attacked.

And I have great news (for me). They have read that I have a friendly attitude towards their coming up, and they like my blog, so they have offered me to become one of their independent contributors, writing now and then an article they will publish, with a link to ilikepinga.com. They are being very generous, I may bring them an audience of a few hundred, but them are going to help me to reach thousands with my blog. I really appreciate that support and generosity. More points for them in my book.

I know you are reading this, Rentboy.pro team, I want you to know I am aware of how generous is the opportunity you are giving me, and I am very thankful.

In order for a masseur/masseuse to get hired in the famous spa I managed, they had to perform a 1-hour massage on one of the owners for free. It was the only way to get a job if you didn't come with a full clientele. The fame of the spa provided instant trust.

Given that rentboy.pro is a new startup, the trust issue matters. If I were an escort, I would engage in dialogue and test the trust waters. If the information I receive is music to my ears and makes good business sense, then I would negotiate a deal that makes sense for me. The deal does not have to be a free-for-all.

Well, that is just as wrong. It should have been a 1 hour paid massage.

That sounds like a test... or exploitation.

Did Harvey Weinstein ever managed that spa?

To me, they seem quite sketchy. Until yesterday, the Rentboy.com wiki page was edited so it posed this new website as a Rentboy.com successor, with hyperlinks changed to rentboy.pro. Poor guys probably don't know Wikipedia uses nofollow links to external hosts(so no SEO gained - Google robot will not follow the link) but they might have been still getting some traffic from people landing on Rentboy.com wiki page for whatever reason and clicking on the new link organically.

Well, good luck to them. Choosing Rentboy in their URL put them in instant cross hairs. While they may brag to be offshore, etc. etc., there are still international laws that could bring them down. Especially by a motivated government agency that doesn't want to be made a mockery of. Just saying. I don't think this is a "disruption" to the industry as their programming and take on advertising is basic at best. It's just another site to advertise and another possible option in the event that RentMen gets dismantled. Personally, if I were to start a site I would keep it on the DL and perhaps host in the dark web. The last thing I would do is make Jeffrey Hurant's mistake of being so open and proud. No one seems to have learned the lesson.

Regardless where they are based, political tidal change is but an election away.

That sounds like a test... or exploitation.

I can see how some people might view it as exploitation, but people who view it that way probably do not work in the beauty/spa business and never will.

A "test" is a more truthful word choice. Most auditions or job interviews are some version of a test. In the beauty/spa business, the "test" often includes performing your service as part of the audition. There is no serious way to judge someone's talent until you see, experience, or "test" their work. People can write anything on a resume. In the beauty/spa business, the proof is in the work/talent.

If you are a new service provider in the beauty/spa business, either starting out or with a very small following, the only way to convince someone new to hire you, you have to "perform" your talent and be judged. This is a serious requirement of the interview process. If you're not willing and eager to do it, no one serious will hire you.

Well-established service providers typically have a "following" of clients. Depending on what their "volume" is (the projected number of people expected to follow the service provider), an audition may not be necessary. It usually is not necessary. However, if the busy service provider really wants to work at a particular spa or salon, he/she will often offer to do a "test" service even if one is not required.

In many top spas, if a customer complains about an experience turning sexual, the service provider will most likely be fired or suspended immediately. In the spa where I worked, naked massage customers were always covered with a luxury sheet during a massage. No one was allowed to lie on the plush massage beds uncovered. There will always be men and women who attempt to break the rules, no matter gay or straight. In a professional environment, especially high-end, the rules tend to be very strict, mostly because there is a lot of money on the line. Lawsuits can be a serious problem in this realm.

I like to keep things simple.

Call an escort, fuck and after I cum, I would ask him to give me a body rub.

The world of a high-end spa/salon offers very little when compared to the HE style massage services that are often discussed on this board. They are two entirely different worlds. Don't get me wrong, we saw a lot of "hot" people in our business. Not only among therapists working in the massage rooms but also among the customer base. Good looks in the beauty/spa business can augment $$$.

We dealt with a lot of lawsuits through the years. They were always fascinating stories. I remember one female customer who supposedly fell in love with her massage therapist. He was a hot guy, talented, too. She was a wealthy nutcase who continually pressured him to go further. At one point, he wanted to quit seeing her as a customer. She brought a lot of money into the salon, so the situation was very delicate. Eventually, a confrontation took place, and she sued, claiming the massage therapist tried something sexual on her. She was just angry that the therapist rejected her, and her lawsuit was pure vindictiveness. Luckily, the entire ordeal was well documented by management. The case was eventually dropped. But it was a nightmare for awhile. Her name became known in spas on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

It's different when the services are more intimate.
