A good businessman would.

Most escorts are not good businessmen.

You do the math from there.

It's situational to me. Being a good businessman is not a black or white thing in this industry.

For a simple one-hour meet, I don't think wasting even more time to figure out 'why' is needed. People are fickle, especially when they're thinking with their dick.

Now, if you were talking about putting together a vacation (or longer span of time together) and things went South while talking it through, yes... That might warrant a gently-worded email as to what turned him off. The same could be said if an escort had seen a client for a number of meets and was suddenly cut-off.

When you think you've done everything right and something seems to go very wrong, it never hurts to figure out why.

Rejection is a subjective term.

Should an escort want to know why potential clients view his ad but decline to contact? Good to know if he's hurting for business, but if he's content with current demand, why would he care?

Should an escort want to know, after some initial communications, why a potential client chose not to follow through and schedule? I'd expect he'd want to know THAT it wasn't going to happen, simply to manage his schedule and not waste time. But knowing WHY it isn't happening... this is an industry that attracts a disproportionate share of flakes, insecurities, fetishists, and game-players.... why would an escort care WHY someone chose to decline their services.

Possible exception... hes getting wayyy too many rejections after spending time planning and communicating with potential clients, and wants to determine if a change in methods could help.

@LaffingBear *chuckle* That sounds like a paradox, to me. A client wouldn't know whether a provider is getting rejected wayyy too many times.

@marylander1940 That's the point. How would they know if it because there is someone cheaper or some other reason?

But so far, it sounds like people are saying that providers don't care about that feedback.

You're asking a question in 'Ask An Escort' and you're taking advice from people who aren't escorts. Who's opinion do you want? :)

Of course escorts care about feedback: It's why this website exists.

Do you mean to tell me we agree?

I couldn't care less about why a client cancels. It doesn't make me feel bad about myself or anything like that.

But if clients are consistently canceling, it might be something that you are doing wrong on your end. Wouldn't you want that information?

Prefer to know (out of curiosity, if nothing else), but wouldn't expect the client to tell me why. Probably wouldn't enquire as to why if we're talking cancellation-after-much-communication, unless some planning went into it and/or they were a regular who suddenly soured on me. But sure, feedback can only help. You can't offend me, so say whatever you like.

I understand folks are shopping around. ;)

I think if I had a regular who suddenly cut me off, I'd like to know what (if anything) I did to lose his business

This is the one situation where I would be motivated and feel obligated to explain myself. I have a regular who has enhanced my life for almost 2 years. The only reason I would stop seeing him would be a change in my financial situation. Even though he's not exactly the self-doubting type, I would still want to tell him that.
