Someone gave me some counterfeit bills... I didn't realize until I went to the bank to deposit... But it could have been money I could have used to pay the masseur.

Has it happened to you that the masseur comes back and said you paid him with 'fake money'? What would someone do in that case? Is not that they can prove you gave them those bills... the same way I can't tell who gave me the counterfeit bills.

Believe it or not, I have gotten counterfeits AT THE BANK and they have accepted the money back and replaced.

Happens most often with 100's!

+1, I got bogus $20 bills from BofA ATM, and passed to a masseur. Ended up giving him another $60 out of my pocket, bank wanted nothing to do with me lol

Unless you knowingly passed along counterfeit bills, its not your responsibility.

It sucks, not fair, but its just one of those things.

Im fairly surprised by the report of a bank replacing bogus bills. They must have independently determined they were at fault and had proof they were the source. When Ive shown bogus bills to a bank, they confiscate them and say "sorry"

If an escort contacted me with regarding fake bills, depending on his attitude and approach, Id either be sympathetic and apologize for the outcome, or if he was accusatory and demanding, I'd just say tough. But its beyond my control, and I wouldnt replace them. Shit happens.... I have no recourse to return the bills to where I got them, why would I take them back from someone else?

Feels crummy to even write that. But, Ill repeat.... its aways unfair, someone always gets hosed. I dont step forward and volunteer to take on the pain of something beyond my control.

I get a certain amount of cash in hundreds every week and I'm a LONG time good customer. They did not give it back right away but soon enough. I have a feeling they found some more bills.
