There are a number of reasons an escort changes his name. It could be he is trying to escape bad press or the notoriety brought on by bad reviews. He could be changing his name to rebrand himself for reasons other than bad press. Such as trying to avoid a obsessed client... or trying to just start a new for no other reason than they think its a good idea (it's not always a good idea of course).

 

I do know one guy who changed his name because people close to him discovered his escort name.

What comes to mind is how actors often have different names and play different roles in the career. No one seems to question why actors are renamed each time they play a movie role. Sometimes Idris Elba is the good guy, other times he's the bad guy.

 

I think it's about evolving or rebranding. I recently transitioned my phone number and will likely change my email again also. Why? Because I moved. It's like...remember back when people moved and they had no choice but to get a new phone number? Yeah...it was only 20 years ago.

 

I can say I've tried several stage names over the years. I've tried to keep it all within the same initials though. Some people can use a Latin version of their real name to make it sound more exotic, or an English version of their name to make it sound more American. For those of us who's real name is the same in English and Spanish, you're forced to come up with one that sounds good, and rolls off the tongue easily. If it stops feeling like it, just have to change it up. You have to "look like" the name you pick. I couldnt pick Daniel. Or Jose. Or Christopher. Just doesn't fit me.

 

Unfortunently, I think some people get used to a name and once you change, it can look weird or maybe they can't get over the name change and drop you. But...some places/people can survive it if it's similar and catchy enough aka Micky Ds and CarFox/Fax

Multiple identities could mean multiple personalities, but more than likely are con jobs who want to fool the next victim. At least the McRib doesn't have any alias to my knowledge, simply a limited time only complex similar to the Shamrock Shake.

For the record JLA is NOT a con job. He's the real deal! I know from experience.
