The late Louisiana native and NYC host, Lee Bailey's recipe for "Slow Oven Barbecued Brisket" is the best brisket recipe I've ever tried and tasted. (not a brisket fan.)

Have to say the suggested sides and priors in his book Southern Food added much to the meal - Sloe Gin Rickeys enjoyed with Spiced Pecans, Black-Eyed Pea Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette, Baked Honey Tomatoes, Skillet Fresh Corn.

An amazingly simple dessert of strawberries dipped (as you like) first in sour cream then dark brown sugar...

Wow! Prepped that exact meal for friends from London. New and enjoyed tastes for them. Many accolades!

so you might have missed these. They are links to some great past Forum threads on cooking (started by yours truly I must blushingly admit.). There were an additional two cooking threads on crockpots and pot roast which I didn't include in this list as I don't think they were quite as good as these. I think you'll find many on here who'll agree that these really were quite good threads. They all had many, many posts to them.

Ive only been here a few weeks. You will realize that this was a decidedly dangerous list of threads to post where i can see and add to them.4._Feast_Table,_1643.png .

I love a good barbecue beef-I am a Texan after all. But for brisket, I'll stick with my Mom's.

Since I've not had the pleasure of your Mom's brisket, I can say the most amazing brisket I ever had was cooked sous-vide with just salt and pepper. It was sooooo amazing, I ate a good chunk of it standing right over the cutting board, cutting off thin slices, eating them on the spot. So juicy and tender. I really want to get into sous-vide on my own.

Sous-vide units very reasonable on Amazon. Love mine...thought it too "gadgety" at first, now it's the best!

Sous-vide is the only way to prepare octopus. Melts the rubber.

*great* tip for octopus!! can't wait to try...I love it grilled...so sous-vide first then finish seared on grill.

Which model did you get? Researching this is something I would need to do before moving forward.

c'mon guys and gals!......from "worst escort experience" to brisket recipes in 43 posts??......so so saddened to see this......we usually can do that in less than 30 posts.....we're slippin' I tell ya

I'll stop reading this post now.

Well it seems that the men who post here, when they talk about hot beef, they are referring to brisket. Who knew?

I only wish I could have invited you and the rest of the Forum over for one of my mother's brisket dinners with mashed potatoes/gravy, whole green beans (canned because that's what she fixed and what I prefer to this day-sometimes as the famous green bean casserole), and the little white pearl onions baked in the oven with butter and a bread crumb topping. DELISH!!

A horrible attempt to get back on topic:

I very much had the hots for a very Hunky, Muscular, Good Looking, and Well Received escort. I asked him for two hours.

He flitted around the room; we barely touched; I'm not sure I was ever completely undressed. It lasted and hour and I was excused.

Thank GOODNESS he's retired now.

Two - the first was when an escort was in my apartment and attempted to blackmail me by repeating my real name louder and louder, demanding a "tip" to leave. I discovered after I pushed him out of my apartment that he had stolen from me.

Second was a bottom escort who didn't want to bottom. He kept redirecting my dick away from his hole and tried to rub it between his legs and/or cheeks in some form of dry hump. After 20 minutes of my little soldier desperately trying to get into the foxhole, he could no longer stand at attention, so I gave up and told the 'scort to leave. Gave him a portion of his fee.

Boy it must be difficult and risky to only pay a portion of their fee.

Sometimes you have to "man up" and do it. I did it once 45 minutes into a visit, during the get-to-know-you conversation part of the meet.

And how did the escort respond?

After about 6 months of high compatibility / highly successful/enjoyable weekly hookups (many single overnites included), taking the guy along on a 10 day beach vaca to Mexico.....he inexplicably became uninterested in having sex nearly from the start....without pressing the issue & with hardly any discussion, I sent him home alone on the 3rd day......(saved the day, errrr the vaca - quickly made a deal with another tried & true guy from LA to fly down for my own final 5 days in Cabo on that trip).....regarding the 1st guy - no contact with or from him ever again......the whole situation def left me with some unanswered questions which I simply dropped......I was not aware of any missteps or mistakes on my part which brought him / us to that point.....I simply closed that door......I had incurred some basic expenses (his airfare, etc., ) but only paid him my own calculated pro-rated share of his "fee".
