Is there a protocol for private messaging a member? If I am reading a "411 on a provider" thread in the Deli or Spa and I see a response that reads something like "met up with him a few weeks ago - PM me for details", and I am also interested in those details, should I then post to the thread that I too would like to receive a PM, or should I just PM him directly and ask if he would be willing to also share his details with me?

You can PM any forum member at any time to ask anything. There are no protocols other than conventional kindness.

Some people like to announce in public that they just PM someone: "I just sent you a PM". This is totally pointless and unnecessary, although sometimes comes naturally in the public conversation.

Hahaha. Like the numerous people at work who will run over to your desk, "Did you see the email I sent you?" Um, the one you sent 2 minutes ago? Not quite yet, buddy. Give it a second.

I don't mind responding to PMs at all - I get lots of inquiries about specific individuals and recommendations for Atlanta. The only thing I'm not too keen on are those that request specific exlicit details of a meeting.... It can feel a little weird to be asked to describe it like it was a game of Twister.

If I ask about details it is usually because I would like a base to know what the escort will or won't do. Some people know that because they did things or they know it because they asked the escort. Of course, it will only give me an idea because unless you get a firm commitment from an escort you may not get what you are looking for. But, as I said, it is just something to begin a conversation. When I do this sort of PM, I will usually first ask about whether the member would be comfortable giving me details. If they are, then I send them my questions. If not, then that is the end of that. No big deal. Most people have been very forthcoming with how things went and I am usually the same.
