Guys in the current political climate maybe we should go back to the past to guarantee our future. Back when I started in the adult entertainment business in 1993 there was no real internet and online ads. We had to adverise in print in bar guides and national magazines. The categories were called ''MODELS''. That is how Jason Bell and the old gang at HOTSPOTS magazine and David magazine in South Florida were able to get away with escort ads in their publications. We were "private models'' who got paid an hourly fee to stand and pose. It was as plain and simple as that.

We were "actors and performers'' much like porn stars are considered to be. I posted a thread a while back asking why porn stars are not considered prostitutes and the answers were interesting.

So now I propose the same logic to this august and astute forum. If a STRAIGHT guy can have a great, long and successful career as a ''gay '' escort then what is he doing if not ACTING??? He is a great actor!! one more thing: If a gay guy can be with a guy totally not his type and pull it off convincing the client that he is into him then HOW IS HE NOT A GREAT ACTOR!!! That is how I made all the money I made in 24 years in this biz. I convinced EVERY client I was into it. I am a great actor and I used to look like a MODEL in my prime. Now DADDYS are in so lots of people still think I am super hot even though I see myself as old and ancient!!! lol

Modeling and acting are 100 percent legal and so, by the way, are body rubs. I think we all need to think outside the box here...... Rentboy failed in that the use of the word ''BOY'' was misleading and tied us to human trafficking which is a huge revenue source for law enforcement. Rentboy went too far and they flaunted our biz too fast too soon and they took stupid risks. I'm not afraid to say this. I'm not second guessing. Read my old pre august 2015 thread and I am on record for calling them out and warning that a bust was going to happen.

I worry now that rentmen is taking similar risks and chances. (not as extreme. It is a much better site!!!) But still if we presented ourselves as ''models and actors'' or ''real living real time porn stars in the real world who you can touch'' then I think we protect ourselves.

a brief addendum from the O.P.......... same can be said for "strippers'' and ''dancers'' 100 percent legal and above board. That is why I started using ''Magic Mikey''. It is a take off on the movie (but also my real name). When I started out I was actually a decent dancer and I had a hot strip routine I used. I did hundreds of parties, events and functions. This is how we can protect ourselves, our business and our sites. Let's deemphasize being "rentmen'' ''escorts'' ''call boys'' or ''gigolos'' and go back to being models, actors, strippers, performers, dancers and living REAL porn stars. That is legal and in no way can be confused with any type of human trafficking or travel act or any other bullshit charges the Feds or the local Barney Fife idiots can conjure up! All good sex requires some acting. I'm pretty quiet if left to my own devices. Like if I'm J/O I'm not going.."oh yeah, you liking that" or some other cheese line. I know that getting verbal turns my partner on so I spice it up ie act. Same goes for the bottom. You best make your top thinks that dick is tearing you up whether or not it is. No top wants complete honesty.

Very sad that a thoughtful post that involved lots of work received almost no intelligent responses at all and yet the fluff and stupidity and in fighting among the other threads gets responses. Is it time to officially pronounce Daddys' site dead??? I think so....... For years I have had a direct link to my many perfect reviews on Daddys and in the last two weeks my clients have told me the link no longer works and it says "oops I have misplaced a review.'' The site is no longer of any use to me as I have not gotten an actual new client off of here in months now. From other places YES and MANY of them. All I did was go on here and try to be helpful and all I got was a few smart ass replies. NOT ONE PERSON responded to the SUBSTANCE of my thread. What does that tell YOU? That without the reviews NO ONE IS READING THIS except a few tired old jealous queens. How sad!

If I post something I think is thoughtful and interesting, and I get zero responses, rather than bitching against my readers I would re evaluate my own thoughts on my post.

Most readers understand the reason for the review hiatus. There still seem to be companions who are engaged with the forum, and are receiving responses. As for the forum as a whole, the eclectic mixture of what so colourfully some describe as old queens, and other serious posters young and old is still there. Declarations of 'truth' sometimes require closer examination.
