I feel for poor Mendoza. I really believe he was framed to make it look like he killed him. Seriously no one could be that stupid writing a will on a hotel napkin, leaving a phone record to meet up where the murder took place and all the victims shit on you. I'm thinking this was a hit by the Velvet Mafia.

Yes, some people can be that stupid. Three methheads were recently convicted around here for robbing and killing two people. Their getaway vehicle that they kept with them for their entire drive up from the San Francisco Bay Area to Portland, Oregon? The second murder victim's car.

The maniacal stabbing and mutilation reported in this crime is indicative of a passion-motivated attack. My suspicion is that there was trouble in paradise that resulted in the dissolving of the Merendino/Meza relationship and Meza was not willing to accept it.

But the article also mentioned a pregnant girlfriend. So Meza may only have been in it for the money to begin with.

I'm feeling a bit weird about things because I just found out two or three days ago that a former Seattle escort (whom I met at least 4 times if not more, and who had indicated at one point that he would be interested in an actual date, but I could never pin him down to when ) is involved in the suspicious death of an Alaskan physician.

The former escort actually called the police saying he was worried that he hadn't heard from the physician and would they do a welfare check (As an aside the police actually performed a welfare check on me about a month ago. The night before my father started his last decline, I had put my phone into airplane mode. I think I had been trying to recharge it quicker. But I fell asleep with it in airplane mode. My family tried multiple times to contact me the following day. They couldn't figure out why I wasn't responding to text, phone calls, or voicemail. Shortly after I woke up that day, there's pounding on my front door by two policemen who tell me my brother is trying to contact me.)

In this case the police found the physician dead. They initially thought it was natural causes as there was no physical trauma . But it came out that several things were missing from the house including a $500,000 gold and coin collection and a liquor collection insured at $800,000. The escort had shipped these items from Alaska to Seattle (claiming them as household items) 10 days before the body was found. The items were to be sent to his Seattle area home but were still in a Seattle shipyard when found. In addition the (?former) escort had withdrawn $37,000 from the doctor's bank account.

The authorities charged the guy with being a 'fugitive from justice'. Would any lawyers or others with legal knowledge out there in Forum Land like to comment on whether this is a broad charge that authorities can level quickly to arrest someone?

The escort was initially in the King County Jail, but I think he has been extradited to Alaska by now. This all occurred at the end of March/beginning of April. The toxicology report was supposed to take two weeks. But the last article I read on the case was dated the first week of April, and the tox screen reports weren't back then.

Now that is creepy.

Sounds like the Doc OD'd on something and the escort decided it was time to help himself. I can't imagine anyone's going to buy his defense though. Talk about a motive to kill someone.

Looks like a very nice guy though.

I can't remember if I saw him after he got the torso tattoo. He told me he wanted one-which is strange because he also talked about wanting to model again. And even if they are more accepted now, it's easier to model without them. Also he continued to advertise massage intermittently. I think as nice as the web pics are, he had bulked up some more, but I never saw him in person when he had put on the muscle.

I hadn't seen him in probably two years. He was a nice guy but flighty-seemed ADHDish to me. His plans on the grandiose-ish side. But I might be wronging him as maybe I didn't understand his plans.

What I can't imagine is why he'd call asking them to check on the doctor. It seems to me you'd want the longest period possible before he was found. He might still have been caught-taking merchandise is one thing but taking money from the banking acccount seems really stupid. I'm not even sure how he could get the money unless he was forging checks/debit card transactions.

That pales compared to being charged with murder.

I thought about that too. He obviously figured there'd be a paper trail so he decided to be proactive. I mean of coarse the police wouldn't look into a caring friend who alerted them to it in the first place.

I think I saw this murder plan on a CSI Las Vegas episode. Lol

If there are no physical signs of trauma, and if the toxicology screens come back positive for common party dugs, I'm not sure how without witnesses it could be proved that he murdered the doctor. Now if the screen comes back showing some type of poison, that's a different matter. Of course there might be some type of failing to render aid charge.

You know what tho?

This could be any situation/profession, Heck even wives who have been married to their Husbands for 20+ years do this for the money.

I'm positive this is all RARE. Also I feel I've read more Articles on Escorts being killed by a lover/someone Infatuated with them, Whom cant bear the thought of not having them exclusively. I believe Escorts are way more at risk than clients. Specifically because we are meeting WAY more people and at the end of the day the client usually has the other hand(I.E payment)

Regardless such a sad story.

I've followed this from the start and I DON'T GET IT, I just don't get WHAT prompts a smart middle aged wealthy man with STR8 G4P porn star boy toy lover of a fairly short time WITH a GF/Baby Mama to even MENTION his Will or the fact that when he's gone he'll get it all!! Is it to get him to stick around fear that the gifts you're showering him with may not be enough?? ?? Is it s drunken lose tongue situation where we all say things we shouldn't?? I don't get it. HOW many older men have said things to their Str8 boy lovers or regular scorts (whom I've no doubt they trusted) that cost them their lives?? That famous silent film star Ramon Navarro beaten to death in the 60's because he foolishly mentioned to two hustler brothers he'd seen regularly that he had $10,000 in "this" room (meaning that's what he'd spent on the remodel) which they took to mean "hidden there somewhere" and he's dead because of it. Or THIS actor below whom I ACTUALLY MET when I was about 15 backstage at a show with my uncle. Why do these smart men even MENTION their Wills to their str8 boys??? I don't get it.

Such a sad story with absolutely no winners and all losers!

He could have made a living escorting or in porno yet he got greedy, and lazy and he had no scrupulous.

He's not the first nor the last to behave like this! What's even more unfortunate is that sooner or later someone will say "he did it because he's Mexican/latino..." or simply implied that minorities are more likely to commit crimes. When a blond guy does something all other blonds won't get blamed for that, but when you're muslim or brown all others are guilty of it.

Just like it happened to the Irish yet many of us don't remember and think we're white.

Am I missing something? why are we assuming he murdered him?

Ummm....cause there's a dead body....and he stole SHIT loads of valuables from the dead guy.

Kind of a natural conclusion....if not exactly proof.

The guy could have died from other causes, and he just stole from his dead lover. He may be a thief and not a murderer.

Did you READ his account?? Lets put aside trying to access his bank accounts deed to his condo and attempts to claim himself as his legal "heir", he admits he lured him to the spot and yes he had friends waiting there but it was only to rob him (of what his watch???) and they simply "left" him there. HOW he got stabbed 24 times and tossed into a ravine well golly he has NO idea how that could've happened some others must have come along and did that. The only way this guy winds up innocent is if they import the OJ jury.

LOL. No, obviously I had not read it. My mistake. Never post in a thread without reading it thoroughly (to myself).
