Reminding Of Someone

Home alone for a while and watched a little porn (really, just a little...) And I came to a realization. I never have much liked John Magnum's porn, it just didn't turn me on. But as I browsed I came across a video with him and watched a bit and it hit me-- he looks almost exactly like a guy I knew in college. He isn't the same guy, but there's definitely a resemblance. I didn't get along well with this guy and I think that's why Magnum has always left me cold.

 

Has anyone had any similar reactions to actors, porn or otherwise, or escorts. There's something about one that reminds you of someone and it affects your response. (Which I suppose could just as well be a positive one if it was a resemblance to someone you really liked.)

I once knew a guy who looked much like porn star Adam Ramzi. Now whenever I see Ramzi on screen I melt. I think you are right on in believing we transfer our emotions on first impressions.

Indeed. There is a black porn actor by the name of Marc Williams who looked like a coworker (in the face, not body wise). I liked my coworker, purely platonically. Any time I would watch a scene with Marc in it, I would go limp immediately because he looked and acted (in certain ways) a lot like my coworker. It was and is an absolutely turn off.

 

I do have a very close friend who looks like Jesse Coulter. This friend is like a brother to me. I however, don't have any problems with getting aroused at Jesse Coulter scenes. I know there should be a Freudian reference in there somewhere. I think the difference is from everything I've seen Jesse and my friend act totally different or have different personalities.
