One thing not discussed here is how much to tip. In many service jobs, such as waiting tables, 15% has been a standard for most of my life. (I usually go 20% because it's easier to do the math quickly). So, on a lunch bill, I might leave $4. By this standard, would I tip $100 for a two hour, $500 visit with my escort? I'm seriously looking for direction here. I admire and like my escorts and wouldn't want to denigrate their fine service by tipping low. As a benchmark, right now I usually tip with a meal or $20 regardless of the total fee charged. What say you all?

 

There isn't a benchmark. Tips/gifts are not expected. The best tip or gift is any tip or gift that is offered freely and gladly, as a sign of appreciation within what feels comfortable for the guy. From my experience, I've met with folks who save up just to meet my rate. Do you know what an honor that is?! I mean, seriously - someone saving up their money just to spend time with me! The forethought and dedication, to me, is a HUGE tip.

 

I think the wisest choice for what/how/when to tip is your gut. What do you think you would like to offer? What can you sanely afford to give away?

 

I would argue the best tip anyone can offer an escort is clear and respectful communication, keeping your appointment, and doing your best to carry your end of a good time.

OK, saying that the US is tip obsessed is hyperbole, I concede. I love you all.

It's what happens when basic human needs are tied to cash in an inequitable economic system.

I always appreciate a tip.. wether it's $5, $500, an iPhone7, or a MacBook Pro. I do not expect a tip, but on occasion it's nice to receive one.

Totally off topic

 

When I see the word TIP, I often recall:

 

1978. Drunk. Eating in a tacky college town diner before more partying. Waitress was awful.

 

One of the guys I was with, acquaintance of a roomate..... left one penny as tip. Waitress saw it. Made some comment. The guy replied, loudly

 

"You want a better tip? Don't use your dildo in the bathtub!"

 

I cant say its funny. I would never say that, particularly as an adult. I dont even remember the guy's name. But memory of the incident and the comment, is often triggered whenever there's a conversation about tipping.
