If you want to stay in a different kind of place, try the Courtyard Inn (privately owned and gay-friendly) on Lake Lucerne in the Historic District downtown. It is a collection of four historic buildings, all on one site built around a gorgeous courtyard. You have a choice of different building types (Victorian, Edwardian, Southern Plantation and Art Deco), and all the rooms are from above average to spectacular. All period furnished and jacuzzis in some of the ensuite bathrooms. The owner is a personal friend of mine and I have stayed there many times. (They have a website which I could send you if you e-mail me privately).

If you are at all interested in antique glass (I know, this may sound a bit precious but it isn't, really), visit the Louis C. Tiffany Museum in Winterpark, a suburb just a little north of downtown. It is the original chapel from Tiffany's Long Island estate, which was transported to Orlando and reconstructed. It is fabulous to sit in a pew and watch the light show as each section of the chapel is lighted from behind all the colored glass (the altar, the sides of the nave, the ceiling etc) first individually and then as a climax, all together, it is just breathtaking!

And then, of course, to complete your religious experience, wander down to Parliament House on Orange Blossom Drive and meet the boys! }(

I forgot a few other attractions in Orlando, other than Disney, which include the Museum of Art (a small collection but sometimes they have fabulous shows, check it out) and Rollins College, which also has a small art collection and is a very nice campus on a lake (Orlando has lots of lakes) and still has the boathouse where actor Tony Perkins (of Psycho fame) used to play around with the boys when he wasn't training on the scull team. In fact, Tony got carried away with the boys and four, I think, were kicked out of the college, including Tony, for immoral behaviour ( I also think Tony somehow got re-instated and graduated despite his misbehaviour, probably because of his family influence). But that's another story...

Well, Disney World isn't that red-state. They've had gay nights, etc. for quite some time despite some public pressure to drop them. That being said, I feel Isles of Adventure (Universal) is the best theme park I've ever been to. If I only had one to go to, that would be it. Also, Epcot is probably the more adult-oriented of the Disney parks. As to where to stay, I would try to figure out what/where you wanted to go, then decide on the neighborhood. I-Drive has a lot of hotels which are willing to bargain, and it has a bunch of touristy stuff. Unless you have your heart set on a particular hotel for some reason, I would definitely use Priceline for Orlando. Priceline works very well in cities like Orlando where there's lots of competition.

I guess the question is, at least for me, other than Disney and the other substantial attractions, what EXACTLY did you hope to gain by going to Orlando? Did you have something specific in mind?

Although there ARE boys there, it is NOT the dick capital of Florida, for either clients or escorts. Elaborate if you wouldn't mind.

P.S. The reference to "red state" has nothing to do with your search for sex, in my opinion. Since you're not getting fucked by the President, or any of his colleagues, and I'm quite sure you're not doing the FLorida senators, why not just leave your inquiries in the innocent arena, devoid of any politics?

If you want to do business in Orlando, then just post there. Good luck.

Flame Broiled

Hot Dad, apparently you are either looking to find fault in my posts or you are sensitive about something I said to you in a thread. You are new to the forums. When you started posting, you did not indicate that you had lurked much. I know you have contributed some positive comments and informations to clients asking questions about certain escorts and some interesting and note worthy opinions, but there are a couple of things you are apparently unaware of or unclear on.

It is pretty common for escorts and clients to post, almost always in this forum, that they are either going to travel or want to travel to a city, state or area and want suggestions from people about what to do, where to stay and what to see.

Escorts sometimes do this when they are going to an area to travel for "work" but also want to know what else there is to do and what else there is to see. It is totally different that posting in ESCORT TRAVELS where they do post specific dates and that they are available and looking for clients.

What I did is no different than Greg from Seattle asking about the hotel he just stayed in West Hollywood or posting in the Los Angeles Hooville thread. I did not see you, well let us call it commenting on his posts, but apparently Greg has not pissed you off. It is no different than Rod Hagen posting about going to Turkey, which is also not a hot bed of likely activity for either clients or escorts, or even for male on male recreational activity of the intimate nature.

I know this is a site about escorts and the men who hire them but not every thread or post is about escorts or the clients opinions, comments, etc. about them, or even about sex. This has traditionally been the case, as long time posters know. Long time posters also know that I like to travel and I do not spend my entire time, even when it is a "working" trip, seeing or trying to line up clients. I like to explore, play tourist and like to know what there is to do. This site is an excellent resources, far better than any travel book might be, especially on gay night life.

As for my red state comment, it was an oblique reference, quite appropriate when you look at the county by county map and see which parts of Florida were solidly "red" and which were solidly "blue." I posted the information in the Politics forum, but you and anyone else interested can readily find this information on line, which is informative because it shows that there is no such thing as a REAL solid red or blue state, but there are pockets of this in every state. For example, California, considered among the bluest of the blue, has regions which are very conservative. Northern Florida and portions of central Florida are very conservative, are considered very bible belt type communities and that is what my reference to it being a Red State area meant. It was neither nor can be viewed as political.

I am sorry you seem to find it necessary to find fault with some of my posts or that apparently something I said or did offended you, but that type of thing happens. I would suggest that before this becomes an unnecessary flame war, that you simply skip over my posts if you dislike them so.

There is also a growing gay neighborhood, much like Atlanta's Ansley. It is called the VI-MI district and it stretches from Mills Ave to Colonial Drive and even in to downtown at Lake Eola. Besides P House, there are also several long time gay clubs, including Southern Knights on Bumby.
