I'm glad you had a good time, sounds a little bit unprofessional having your bf (travel partner) waiting right outside the door of a hotel room. I would have waited in the lobby, the gym or take a walk. Just my 2 cents

He was probably in next door room. Andrew let him know the client left, and he came to his door. I don't think Sean was waiting all the time outside the door. I am sure they do not share the room when they travel together, it would be an obstacle for their business.
