To all of my clients and forum members thank you. I retired this year and as the New Years approaches I have been thinking a lot about my time as an escort. As someone who is going into social work I think I look at escorting a little differently than most people.

 

I met so many incrediable people in the 4 years that I worked but what struck me was the vulnerability that clients were willing to share with me. A lot of my clients that I saw, I would say maybe 20%, had never been with another man until they were with me or had limited experience with another man and while that factoid may seem unimportant to some it meant a lot to me. To be willing to open up like that was an honor and that's an understatement.

 

I think I learned as much from my clients as they did from me. As I transition to providing a different kind of therapudic care (sometimes a good roll in the hay is the best therapy), I will be shaped by my experiences as an escort. Learning to how to hold space for my clients I think was the most valuable skill I learned. I had many clients open up about there lives in ways that I would have never imagined that people would with their escorts.

 

I am not sharing this out of some sense of self aggrandizement but rather because my clients meant a lot to me. I started to burn out towards the end of my time as an escort, juggling school and a full time escorting proved to me too much.After four years, I just want to give a big thank you to all the guys out there that have treated your escorts with as much dignity and respect as we try to show you.

Chris, although we only met once for an hour, I will always remember that time. I was in a very vulnerable place, and you responded with kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness.
