I always kept the fudge consistent (-3 years) so I didn't have much trouble with that. But the actual age is now up. :)

Dude you're still in your twenties. At this point it's akin to saying you want to be a different color of orange as far as any difference it makes.

Fair enough. It was relevant in the UK, and since I'll turn 30 in a couple of months it seemed particularly important. I suspect that for some the difference between 29 and 30 seems larger than it is. Like the difference between a bottle of wine at $9.99 or $10. :)

For many, an age difference is merely a psychological feeling or reaction.

In reality, a client can be satisfied with a younger escort or an older escort. Satisfaction depends on chemistry between the two parties.

How one looks and performs often does not depend on an escort being a specific age.

Just my opinion, of course.

Agreed, but that psychological difference can be the difference between being hired or not. :)

Well, you'll never get the attention of say the poster Twinkieboy lover but then again would ya really want to?

Indeed, I'd rather avoid that. As I say, it was still a valid consideration in the UK, but it seems to be less of an issue here. :)

I think with you if you don't mind me saying is that you fit into a category and it's worked well for you. Younger boyish looking. That's what your clients want. However, just like a boy band as soon as they get a little maturity it's time for a new gig. In your case it's how do you deal with pushing 30 now. No such thing as a 30 something twink. The people that were interested in you will always be defined by a certain age and characteristics of that. You need to redefine yourself now.

There have also been a number of people commenting on this forum that they prefer 'older' guys (i.e. not twinks).

I’m pretty new here, but my impression is that the people who post here are not necessarily representative of the broader client community, and they tend to skew older.

Still, I think the number of people who say, “He looks great in his pictures, but I won’t hire him because his profile says he’s 3 years older than my arbitrary age limit” is pretty small. I think people are looking for a look, not a number.

Of course, there is a general relationship between the two, so people might pay attention to the age number as a way of narrowing their focus in a big city like NY. But to the extent they use it in a search function, they probably use a fairly wide range so that they don’t miss out on people whose stated age may be a bit off from how they look.

I didn't really define myself as a twink to begin with, though, and I'm not sure that I fit into any particular 'category' now.

Sorry I just looked at your pics. You look kind of twinkish to me. Youngish with a boyish body.

I think it will serve you better for now to keep your age lower a bit. Work out and get some muscles and move into the next category. Then you'll be a baby age wise and it won't matter.

I guess we will have to see how it evolves. It's unlikely that I'll gain much more muscle (I'm ectomorphic, already as strong as I need to be to do the stuff I do, and more weight would be detrimental to my performance). I guess we will see if there's a market for a 30 year old twunk. :)

I wouldn't have said 'twink' but I'm no good at picking the dividing lines between the various categories that people seem to use to describe men, and in any case I'm more likely to look at guys by their individual look (not 'judge' I hasten to add) than filter those I look at by some label. You have a lot of good advice here on the age you post. Maybe 'guy next door' is where you're going next (or perhaps where you already are). I could have said dude next door, but that's already taken. The guy next door could be a college senior or grad student home for the holidays, or it could be the young dad taking his 5-10yo to the park to play, so not a particular age, but you get the idea.

Sincerely hope that you can make it to the Palm Springs gathering. It is a fun weekend of socializing and comaraderie and giving you an opportunity to meet other escorts and clients, that is if Glennnn doesn't hire you for the entire weekend!

Blush! Yes, I was pretty obvious, but can't dominate his whole week end. I have commitments to other escorts I love, too. There should be plenty of Escortrod to go around, so don't be shy guys.

Good comments, Mike. When I look at our OP I don't see a twink, I see a young dad or guy next door, a mature man on the youngish side. I've made no secret of the fact that my usual escort is 40 +, but this man is exceptional. Guess I'm branching out.

You are already rocking that twunk look just fine. Boyish looking without being painfully thin. I love muscles, but I think as long as you stay defined you will do fine.

I'm going to be a contrarian here. I rarely hire anyone over 35 and I agree with the other poster who said the people who participate in this forum probably skew older but represent a small subset of the hiring community. I would stay early thirties for as long as you can pull off the look. No one really cares about the age on your identification.

I'm much more inclined to hire an older escort. As attracted as I might be to the young/hung/full of....themselves, I also realize that it's probably a stretch to think that they're actually going to be in anyway attracted to a much older guy like me. When considering a younger guy I always ask them to "be honest, do you think you can get it up and keep it up for a guy old enough to be your grandpa?" Unfortunately almost all say "of course". Ultimately I don't want to be embarrassed by finding out that's not the case so I go for the still-hot-but-older guys. And BTW "escortrob" you've now hit that age that would put you on my radar.

While escorting in London I found that I got fewer calls if my age was listed as being above 25. Therefore when I passed 25 I started listing my age as a few years lower than it actually was. Nobody every complained (I generally look younger than I am), and it was good for business. I'm finding that in the US the dynamics are rather different, and so as I approach the end of my thirtieth year and contemplate my age once again starting with a zero I'm wondering whether or not I should use my real age on my profiles.

I'd be interested to know what everybody thinks, both clients and fellow escorts.

"Age ain't nothing but a number, throwing down ain't nothing but a thang" - Aaliyah

I personally don't really pay attention to their age, unless they're too young for me (under 22 generally). While it most likely varies person to person, I don't generally even pay attention to the age listing. Hope you find what proves to be the best business model for you.

Cheers!
