What would yinz (escorts) think of this would-be-client?

A local escort just took several screen-shots and sent me this conversation he had with potential client:

Client: Hey there

Escort: hi, call me

Client: I don't like calls

Client Bye, c ya

Escort: Where are you staying? When are you looking to getting together? What do you get into?

Client: My hotel

Client: ASAP

Client: flip fuck

Escort: Which hotel?

Client: I'm in My Hotel.

Escort: Is the hotel called MY? LOL, can you tell me the full name?

Client: you don't seem friendly.

Escort: I could be there in 30 mins. What's your room number?

Client: ASAP Hotel XXX

Client: 15-30 mins is good. Room XXX Address XXX

Client: can you send me another face pic?

Escort: I just called your room, and nobody picked up the phone.

Client: I'm in the lobby

Client: you seem to be too complicated, you have issues.

Client: bye, c ya

Escort: try Grindr

Client: Ok, many, by c ya

Client: I'll better find another escort who is less complicated and have more pics

Client: Has*

Yeesh! If I was an escort (for which I would make a terrible one) I would have let the conversation end here:

Client already seems either fake or a flake as he is not willing to continue to engage the escort in the mode of communication he has started.

Granted, escorts are trying to secure business, but when someone say bye, best to leave it at that. It's what I do on those pesky apps.

It's obvious the "client" is just trying to collect pics or mess around with the escort for whatever the case may be, using the prospect of a potential income to sway the escort into giving him what he wants to make the "meeting" happen. There never was going to be a meeting even if the escort gave him everything he wanted. Sadly, there are a lot of people like that out there who use escorts to get their shits and giggles.

I find it odd that you always seem to have the "inside track" with so many escorts who are willing to share their business details.

Mary is just the resident "escort whisperer".....:D:p

Hmm... well that is certainly a very different business model than mine... very different type of escort and very different type of client. It all looks so clandestine, rushed, and forced. I don't want to say anything harsh about people I know nothing about, so I will just leave it at that.

People get to determine how they want to communicate. If an escort wants a phone call but the client doesn't want to do that, for whatever reason, they're likely not a good match. No need to get into motives!

(I didn't read the whole exchange; as far as I'm concerned, it ended with "I don't like calls, bye, c ya" and was not worth salvaging.)

but when you're dealing with someone whose answer to "Which hotel are you staying at?" is "I'm in My Hotel", I'm not sure if I'd call that communication.

Oh, it communicates something: no doubt about it.

There's a hotel in Canberra called Hotel Hotel. Like My Hotel, an example of the possibility of saying something that has a general meaning and a very specific meaning. Or even two specific meanings. If you say my hotel you could be Donald Trump or it could be the name of the hotel. The trick is to be aware that there are two meanings (or more) and make an effort to distinguish, and it's easy in the heat of the moment to forget the meaning you are not using and assume that you will be understood. I would like to think that I would have been sufficiently aware to say, 'I'm in a hotel called "My Hotel".'

I’m not sure I followed all that Mike. Are you saying that Donald Trump was the prospective client? Since Marylander posted this, it probably did occur in the greater DC area. It’s really scandalous, but I’m not surprised given his personality. He always seems to accuse other people of the exact thing he’s guilty of, in this case, “you don’t seem friendly,” and “you have issues.” Anyway, I also thought it was odd that he felt it was more important to correct “have” to “has” than to be a decent human being. What a world.

NOOO, I have no idea who was involved. He was just an example of someone who could say 'My hotel' and it would be accurate in the sense of actual ownership. 'My hotel' could also mean the hotel I'm staying in, or it could be the name of the hotel. The communication quoted earlier failed because it left in doubt which of those meanings applied.

Well, since we don't know who the escort OR the client were......

In this case I wonder if the potential client is beyond socially awkward?

Miss JJ

Please quote me so I can reply... this way @marylander1940 or in your case @jjkrkwood

It's a local guy and I'm touch with him on a weekly base, I've defended him on here a few times...

Mary, you are hung up on the "quote" thing. I don't find it necessary if I am not responding to you, which in this case I wasn't. I was replying to YoungAD.
