I had made an appointment with an escort and time and date were agreed upon. Friday night came and he never showed. He said he is always prompt so I called, and left a message on his machine. I called again later and then sent an email. He never called back, but rather sent me an email the next day saying he had had some car problems, did not have my phone # with him, and after a few hours finally got home. By then he had forgotten about the appointment and said he did not want to see me because of the intensity of my disappointment of his failure to show up. (Whatever that means!) He completely wasted my time that night. I have 2 Questions... 1) How long should you wait for an escort before you call someone else -- or -- go somewhere? 2) He is a masseur who agreed to escort. Should I send in a review on him?

"he did not want to see me because of the intensity of my disappointment of his failure to show up"

So after he missed the appointment, he felt that you were too dissapointed so he decided he didn't want to see you at all. So you came on too strong? Aren't these kinds of games the reasons that many of us hire escorts in the first place?

You need to submit a no-show review. Not doing so would be a disservice to the rest of us.

You'll probably get a lot of different answers to question #1; in my opinion 30-45 minutes (without a phone call from the escort) is enough time for me to believe he's not going to show up.

#2. Yes send in the review describing the no show. It would be good to know if this is, or becomes, a pattern with this escort.

I agree that you should write the no-show review, although include ALL the details both from his side and from your side. Being stranded because of car trouble DOES shoot the hell out of one's plans, stamina and enthusiasm for the day.

Also...

>he did not want to see me because of the intensity of my

>disappointment of his failure to show up

He was obviously aware of your bitter disappointment (which we can "hear" in your post here). How did you express it to him in your voicemails? Please be honest, including with yourself. Did your voicemail express concern for his well-being or make his testicles shrivel up like acorns? Was he likely justified in not wanting to see you?

How long should you wait? Only you can answer that. There's no one size fits all answer.

Nicely said. Too bad more guys don't keep this in mind.

In response to the original poster, if someone is late by 30 minutes or so, I'll make a call to whatever number I have to see if there is a problem. If there is no answer, or if I don't have a contact number, I'll wait another hour or so. 90 minutes is more than enough time for any professional to get word to another that they're going to be late for an appointment. Once that's past, I feel completely justified making any other plans that seem reasonable, including leaving the location where we were to meet.

If someone fails to follow through on something so basic as showing up on time or communicating their inablity to do so on a timely basis, I'm generally uninterested in setting up a repeat appointment.

And I don't make multiple phone calls. One is enough.

Fantasy Guy,

Hey, welcome to our club !!! I too just experienced my first no-show !!

>1) How long should you wait for an escort before you call someone else or go somewhere? <

This reminds me of when I was in college and we would talk about how long we would have to stay in the class, if a teacher was late. At Fordham (NYC) we said 10 minutes for a professor (any degree under PhD) and 15 minutes if they had a PhD...now this doesnt help you but I thought it was funny

I waited about 3 hours but that is because I was at home, doing my laundry, taking down the Christmas tree and watching a video. I never tried to call cause I know that no shows happen and I really didnt care if he showed up or not. yes, he was good looking and probably would have been fu. However, if I invite someone to my house and am paying them a lot of money for their time, I figure its his loss. Its just an hour of fun for me and I am paying $200 plus. If he doesnt show up, I keep my money and have a lot of other things to do.

Of course, I never thought of his saftey which is kind of fucked up on my part. I guess I just thought that this behavior is not uncommon and that he flaked out. I considered calling to see what was up and why he didnt show up, but I didnt really care and also thought, "What would I say to this guy when he gave me a lame excuse ?" I hope he's alright though...

2) >Should I send in a review on him?<

Yeah, you probably should. I didnt write a no show review but I think I will now. I figured that he didnt rip me off, but it is a real waste of time and I dont waste other people's time. However, I got a lot of time to waste

If this is the only wasted Friday night of your life, count yourself lucky.

But probably Friday is the worst night of the week to have this happen as there is fuck-all on TV!

A "NO SHOW" Review is definitely a good idea. But unfortunately there are those who feel, filling out the Form for a "No Show" not worth the time...and as far as descriptions go, not having hungout, what would the description be? Not seeing the Guy you made an appointment with? In some cases a "NO SHOW" could be a stroke of Good Luck..LOL :+ :+ :+

I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned this bit of lame but you. How could you forget a to-be-paid appointment to arrive at which you have struggled manfully and yet failed. You didn't get "the message to Garcia", did you, boy? Be a man and admit, if your story is true!

In this day of cell phones, anyone who hasn't shown for a half hour and hasn't called either is probably someone I wouldn't want to meet anyway. Unless you are totally incapable of communication - coma, throat hurt, etc. - it only takes a minute to let someone know you're not coming. If your grandmother is suddenly at your door with a hot meal and your favorite childhood toy, you can tell her that you were due somewhere, but if she'll hold on for a moment, you'll call and break that engagement since you would rather be here with her. I would think of that as flattering, were I her.

I guess how long you wait depends upon how patient the client is. I consider my time as valuable as anyone else's. I've hired many Escorts and if they have not arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, I call them if they have not already let me know they are running late. If no answer I figure it may be time to move on. If they answer then, another 30-45 minutes and I'm ready to forget it unless they have a good excuse.

Sure you should write a Review. What if this guy has a pattern of "No Shows", no one will ever know if no one tells it in a review?

But that calls fot the assumption that one can read.

As a practicing doctor I used to charge patients for tardiness, or just reappoint them.

As the client going to an OUT appointment the escort was not at home but a female voice, with a baby in the backgroung, answered. XX was out and would be back shortly. I waited the half hour and left.

Of course I was stranded in the big apple. I used my little directory and found a substitute in and willing. But the the big apple is big and has lots of escorts!!!}(

After reading about some guy who got stood up in NY, I would have to qualify my previous answer. If I had to wait somewhere like at the escort's hotel or house, I would feel like a big dick (and I dont mean that in a voracious sense) and want to leave ASAP. I would probably wait about half an hour and then call then wait a few minutes, then go and call again to let them know I left.

I admire your patience. Every escort should have a mobile phone. Being an escort doesn't require a lot of overhead, but that's one thing you gotta have. The only excuse for not calling is being dead or unconscious. Unless he was flying from across the country or something, 20 minutes is plenty of time. Even if he's going to be 15 minutes late, he should call. That's just common courtesy. There are quite a few escorts out there who escort because their people-skills won't allow them to hold down a regular job. This guy seems like he might be one of them.
