So many of you have emailed me over the last couple of years, asking if I'd start a blog, so I finally did it. One of you was particularly encouraging recently, and actually laid out the reasons why I needed to just do it already. One reason I'd hesitated was that I didn't want it to seem like I was copying Devon...I figured that, even though I have my own point of view, I didn't want to step on his "turf," especially when I had this great message center playground to mess around in. But that was dumb...it would have just been one more thing for you guys to read. Duh.

Anyway, now that Devon has retired, I feel like it's a good time to start. So, here it is, for those of you who are interested (and a big thanks to Houston Bonfires for giving me the title):

hey Rick, that's so cool! I just read your first entry and it looks like your readers will be in for a fun, sexy ride and a glimpse into your world! Welcome to the land of the internet diary and thanks for starting it and sharing it. I look forward to keeping "up" with it on a daily ( or whenever you write) basis ;-)

I think there's more than room enough for the both of us out there and from the looks of Rick's initial post, his blog will be one of my weekly favorites to read. Looks very shagadelic :)

As i've said before regaring Devon's Diary and other blogs out there: We all have different things to share, different viewpoints and different styles to what & how we write. I've never looked at blogging like i'm 'in competition' with anyone else, but moreso in that we all compliment eachother and bring different things to the collective table.

Congrats to Rick for throwing his hat into the writing-ring and giving us something new to chew... Although his ass is still the prefferable thing i'd like to gnaw on.

Warmest Always,

Benjamin Nicholas

Set in Stone....

Hey Rick,

Love the blog title and the first entry. Can already see your trademarked cheeks up on Mount Rushmore, the sweetest cheeks ever carved in stone.

I am sure you have many stories to share that will be enjoyed by your readers.

Thanks, Benjamin. I always read yours, too. I think mine will be daily, but we'll see what happens. I might even get Mr. Ross to do guest-blogging (or, in his case, guest-grunting).

>I've

I agree; I didn't mean to imply that I felt competitive but rather that I didn't want to seem like I was copying Devon (and you). It's silly, I know, but it's the way I've always been. If I see someone else wearing my favorite pair of jeans, suddenly I don't want to wear mine anymore. I like to do my own thing, and I see now that I can do that in my blog.

I am all for bringing things to the table but please don't make me do the dishes, OK? :+

>Although his ass is

Thanks; I had you pegged more as a cocksucker, but I'm sure we could work something out. }(

Thanks! What a neat way to put it; I hadn't thought of it that way. A glimpse into my world, huh? Gee, I'd better straighten up a few things around here...my desk is mess. :p

Thanks; I actually prefer them to be parted with tongue, but carved in stone is pretty cool, too. :p

Dear Rick:

I never dreamed there could be two "Munroe Monuments". Now there are and what's more they are equally entertaining and exciting. I am pleased to have originated your blog title and I am thankful that you originated the original Monument that has provided the world with so much joy.

Sincerely,

Definitely an interesting read and it kept me kaughing with every sentence. My favorite phrase, "Can you please turn the music down for those of us who are serious about our workouts and aren't interested in snorting crystal meth at the Roxy?" That is fucken priceless !!

Good luck

BTW, I like the title, "The Munroe Doctrine"

And for Benjamin Nicholas, I like "Its all about the Benjamin"

"I can see how this blogging thing can be addictive"

Rick-your ruinning my life. The boss was pissed because I was to busy reading Devon to get any work done and then Ben came along to fill in. Now I have you to read your blog every day and see your picture. I can't even get a bun in the lunchroom with out getting hard. And now if I laugh at my computer what am I supposed to tell them????

This is more than addictive... as my sweet young friend from Texas- Michael Vincent would say...It's a dick tive

Just keep up the good work and if ever you need a helping hand and Mr Ross has gotten up early. "Just call my name and I'll be there"

to help in any way I can :9 :9

Hey, thanks to all of you for being so encouraging. I really want to do this daily, but my schedule is so erratic (I was gone all day). I'm going to figure out what time to do this everyday, and try to stick to it. The writing's easy; the structure is the hard part. :o

I just posted, btw. :)
