hi

ok so an escort who i've met regularly in the past is back in town, his hourly rate used to be 200 but I used to book 3 hours so he said I should pay 500 for the session. However, now he has dropped his rates in his ad for various reasons eg competition, going local rate, etc to 150 per hour. Should I re-negotiate my 3 hour rate?

If I do I don't want to annoy him as tbh he's the only escort I've met over the years that I've felt totally comfortable with so much so that I've told him very private things about my life and likewise I feel he has opened up to me and he's the only one I've ever hired regularly.

If it works for you and you have been happy with the service and the escort, I personally would not want to go to awkward town over $50 bucks. So I would approach it one of two ways.

If I could live with it, I would consider the $50 difference a tip pre built into the rate.

If I couldn't live with it, I would either ask him what his current 3 hour rate is or just simply change your booking to 2 hours this time and confirm for two hours at $300.

I think DTB and I have similar philosophies about rates in general. There will be others here that may be very vocal that this is a business and you should renegotiate. You might be thinking that he would discount a multi-hour session off of the new $150 rate so it may be bigger than a $50 difference.

The thoughts that would be running through my head would be how much I appreciate it when an escort grandfather's in a session rate after he raises his rates. How much do I value the rapport that I've established with the escort after seeing him multiple times? Is the $50 or $100 worth damaging that? If yes, I think DTB's suggestion that you change the length of the session is a good one. Sort of reset the whole thing..

Irfy used to get a 100 discount for 3 hrs, so I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect 3 hrs for 400 with the new base rate. Or even 3 hrs for 375 or 350. Not sure how to ask the escort about it though.

Maybe the blunt approach, "I've noticed that your hourly rate has changed. Will I still enjoy a multi hour discount for 3 hrs?"

Everyone has there own approach on this that is right for them and there is no one-size-fits-all answer. I'm in the same camp as DTB & Mikeey.

I don't negotiate. Negotiation implies an adversarial relationship which is counterproductive in attaining some degree of closeness with the companion. If I can't afford someone's rate then I simply move on. If it is someone I am on the fence about then I send a polite note that includes a parenthetical "What is your 2/3-hour incall rate". Sometimes the answer is less than a multiple of the hourly rate and sometimes it is not but, either way, I never push the issue.

I contacted a Houston guy last week who I had also met on social media and his RM rate was $300/hr - I asked about a 2-hr meeting and he seemed perplexed that I was unable to do the arithmetic to arrive at a $600 rate. Rather than explain that it is sometimes beneficial to tier multi-hour rates I simply thanked him for his time and hired someone else.

I have also encountered a situation where a RM profile rate dropped after I had agreed to a (reduced) multi-hour session. I didn't think it appropriate at all to ask about reducing what I had already agreed to pay... that's really not fair to the companion in my opinion. Just opening the conversation can create a little bit of resentment and animosity that defeats the whole purpose of meeting.

thanks for all your replies, I veer towards DTB, MGM & Keith's philosophy, I'll consider it a built-in tip but may ask him casually about it in our conversations, last time we spent time off the clock as well as we went for a meal together and I wouldn't want to jeopardize the rapport we've built up. If it was someone else I think I would negotiate a new multihour discount as per hekilio's suggestion.

I suppose part of it is a ego thing in the sense that a new client could pay less than me a regular but I guess this is the classic example of knowing the difference between price and value.

Thanks

How will it make you FEEL to pay $500 for a 3 hour session knowing that his hourly fee is now $150? You wouldn’t have started this thread if you didn’t have some concern about it.

I would say that if this escort is not a clock watcher, and regularly (or often) goes past the time allocated for your date (even by 10 of 15 minutes here or there), I would not quibble about $50.00. Maybe he really needs the money, and lowered his rate to entice new clients to hire him. If he is friendly, attractive, attentive, and generally good to you, $500.00 for three hours is still a good deal. Many working boys demand $250.00 or $300.00 for only one hour, which would equal $750.00 to $900.00 for a three-hour session. One escort I am considering asks $900.00 for three hours, so I'd grab the $500.00 session in a heartbeat!

I am rarely grandfathered at a lower price point after going to the trouble to break in new talent. I'll be damned if I'm gonna be grandfathered at a higher price point. :p

Good comments here, and if you pay him 300 for 2 or 450 for 3, you have not wronged him at all. In fact, you've given him the very thing he needs........some business.
