Do the A's get more hits than the rest?

Yesterday I was talking to a good friend of mine who has recently left the escorting business. Love him to pieces, not the hottest guy on the block but still someone I can see being hired from time to time. He was claiming to be getting a huge amount of hits off HooBoy.

Doing some quick research last night, I realized he was one of the cutest escorts whose name started with an A on the list. It occured to me, maybe he's getting all his hits because he's the first cut'ish thing that pops up when scrolling the SoCal Lists?

Any comments on this? How does the average client scroll through the reviews when they travel? Do you ever make it to the W's or do you find someone before that?

And if so, should I become the Adler formerly known as Scott? :)

Open the phone book.

There's a reason you'll see so many AAArdvark Cleaning Services. Make it the yellow pages and it's a pattern repeated in every category.

I'd like to think that discerning clients (read: GOOD clients) would be less shallow, but there's nothing I've seen to suggest that.

Don't limit yourself to Adler. Try AAAdler. ;-)

RE: A's as in AAron

I seem to recall that Aaron Lawrence in his book on escorting recommended that escorts choose names that would put them at or near the top of lists. What ever happened to him, by the way?

Thanks for the commentary guys. I had given my new "prodigy" in New York the same advice. He's thinking Aaron Samuels. He'll be an up and cummer in Manhattan. Does anyone have any notes on that?

RE: A's as in AAron

Many of the escorts on Gaydar use a preceeding line of characters like a full stop or now a comma to get them to the top of the list. As Gaydar sorts alphanumerically, using a character with a low ASCII number puts you at the top of a list.

On this site I truly doubt that someone is going to stop after finding a cute guy in the "A" names. I am well awarein business many try to use "A" because t puts them upfront in the phone listings.

However, we're not talking about fixing a dent in your car here. This is a very personal choice and I have to believe that virtually all the guys look through the entire city list not just till they find a cute one.

As for your prodigy's name it's ok. The last name is too soft if we were speaking specifically marketing. It's very easy to forget. Should end with a hard sound.

I'm searching the rosters of men all the time, and go into hyper-search when I see on my calendar that business is going to take me out of town and I'll have a chance to enjoy someone new. Alphabetical listing isn't even a part of this wonderful, albeit pricey, hobby. What does count, though, is a picture. I have never connected with a guy without a picture. If I'm spending that kind of money, I want that visual assurance, although I know there is no guarantee. And if they have a website, they move directly to the head of the list.

Hooboy, this site has been an avenue to bliss, fun and that wonderful ache for me many times. Thanks.

When I look in California, I just can't get past Athan. Every pic he has had on this site has just blown me away. His latest is the best ever. I only wish I had a trip to California coming up.:-(. I also enjoy his posts. It is great to see him participating in the MC. Thanks, Athan.

I agree; been enjoying his posts, too. It's nice to have another smartass escort here -- he's the spiritual California version, I'm the cocky New York version. Or, to put it another way, he's a little bit Valerie Harper and I'm a little bit Rhoda Morgenstern. :p

I like that nice Jewish boy Scott Adler, too. Smart guys rule. :9

Awwww thanks Rick! ::BLUSH::

Meanwhile, I'm debating to become the escort formerly known as Scott and becoming, and not to sound TOO Jack McFarland but, "Just Adler."

I like Just Adler but wouldn't that defeat the purpose? I mean, you'd be all the way down there with the 'J's. :+

I'm actually considering changing my name to be even further toward the end of the alphabet. "Yentl," anyone? :p

The Hard Way

There is this really cute but very straight boy in Varona, Italy who spells his name almost identically to mine, but off by one vowel. I get his e-mail occassionally, as he has an AOL account, and he gets mine.

This has absolutely nothing to do with this thread, but he is a very cute boy. A that should count for something, no?

This is a good question. So out of curiosity I went back and looked at the Escorts I have hired. On my 2 trips to LA I have hired 6 Escorts. 2 have names that start with A, 2 that start with B, 1 that starts with E, and 1 that starts with K. Sadly, I'm not sure I've gotten past the K's for Southern California Escorts. x(

Maybe for my next trip I'll just jump down to the S's to start. ;)

It seems that the "second guy" listed under the S's has peaked my interest and it would take too long to get from the K's to the S's unless I skip a bit of the alphabet.

Wouldn't happen to know anything about the guy would you? ;-)

Maybe we should do an escort sedar during Passover?
