It's January and already New Yorkers are facing a baseball dilemma. Alex Rodriguez, the super-hunk Yankee has had his turn in the sun. Now the Mets have signed Carlos Beltran, who sizzles with sex. Those lips could make me switch from A-Rod. Should I go with the winner or the richer one? They could have made it easier if the Yankees had just signed Beltran. What a locker room that would have been!

New York can have Alex Rodriguez and Carlos Beltran, I'll take Albert Pujols for sex appeal and pure baseball talent any day. Pujols will be only 25 on Sunday and has already produced stats that only Ted Williams and Joe Di Maggio can compete with. Oh yeah, I do not even live in St. Louis, 1,000 miles away in Philadelphia.

Beltran is definately a cutie, I would be watching a lot of Mets games if I lived in NY. Signing Beltram makes a lot of sense for the Mets, unlike the Pedro signing. As for the Yankees, I still miss very sexy Andy Pettite -- conservative religious beliefs and all.

I agree that Andy is number one!

From the Vision Church:

Another local favorite, four-time World Series champion Andy Pettitte earns a living throwing hard cutters and picking off runners at first. But how does he serve as a strong witness in the most brutal of workplaces- Yankee Stadium? Pettitte would probably sum it up with his favorite Bible verse. 1 Peter 4:11. “If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

Instead of taking to the pulpit, this lefty ministers from the pitcher’s mound. In his own personal walk with God, Pettitte has shared how important it’s been for him to acknowledge God is in complete control in his life. This helps him to be at peace with almost anything, including nagging injuries and trade rumors. The next time you head to the stadium, try writing 1 Peter 4:11 on a huge scrap of cardboard, instead of John 3:16. Maybe he’ll pitch even better

And I thought I was the only Timmy Chang fan !!!!

I had a chance a few years back to work with the Staten Island Yankees.

Some of these guys (actually most of them) were really cute. They all were a bit lost since they were from all over the USA and the Dominican Republic. I did some translation for the Dominicans (I could barely understand their version of Spanish) and helped a number of the guys with personal issues (girlfriends, being away from home, substance abuse). What I dont understand is why are so many of them good looking ? Is it because they are anticipating being in the public eye so they spend a lot of time on their looks ? HMMM, that doesnt sound right. Any suggestions ? BTW, they were all as white as Christmas (except for the Dominicans)

They're "good-looking" for the reason most athletes are: they have very symmetrical features, which goes with the kind of body that favors athletic achievement. A lot of research has shown that humans identify symmetrical features as "beautiful." Athletes also usually have the tapered wide-shouldered, narrow-hipped physique that is pretty much a world-wide standard for male beauty. Some guys are artificially bulked up, but even so it's hard to completely obscure their basic shape and proportions, and the symmetry of their facial features, making them beautiful in our eyes.
