At this point, I am simply going to say a few prayers light several candles at the nearest church and wait and see what happens.

Go Cubs go, indeed!

This is year five of their five year "down to the studs" rebuild helmed by Theo Epstein who previously helmed the rebuild of the Boston Red Sox (and broke "the curse of the Bambino"). Last year they won 97 games (which was only good enough for THIRD PLACE in their division) and advanced to the NLCS, which came as a complete surprise. They weren't supposed to be ready to contend until this year.

This year they finished in first place by 17 1/2 games with 103 wins. The two teams duking it out for the final NLCS berth, Dodgers and Nationals, are both significantly diminished by injury.

The best part is the Cubs have built a system, from scouting on up, designed to produce a dynasty. This year's core will be under team control through 2021, and that farm system routinely belches forth hotshot rookie talent. I saw one TV talking head describe Chicago as "like a clown car, but instead of clowns talented rookie sluggers keep popping out".

Even if they don't go all the way this year, Theo & Co. have the off-season to get whatever they need -- and a ton of bargaining chips to use to get it.

They're in it to win it and they aim to stay around a while.

Greg was thinking that we havent heard from you for a bit. Nice to see your smiling face. I am a Mets fan, but now that the Mets are out, I will root root root for the Cubbies, if they don't win its a shame.

Im usually always around lurking in the background. After this week I will be around a lil more often but I'm still on the bench and outta the game till mid Dec or even Jan. Dec is when I get my pet scan and that'll let me know if the cancer is still around or if it's gone. I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worse. If that makes sense. Or is it sence? I keep forgetting lol

Hugs,

Greg

Yes, it makes perfect sense. I hope you are feeling beautiful inwardly. Outwardly, you certainly are looking beautiful in that selfie.

Being the next to last day of my last chemo cycle I'm feeling a bit emo, but in a good way. I'll prob put what I'm feeling to paper in the next day or two. It's almost overwhelming but in a super awesome way. I think those that have gone through cancer treatment or maybe something similar know what I'm talkin about. But its all happiness, peace, love and gravy lol.

Hugs,

Greg
