Have any of you guys used this email program. I received a free full featured copy today, installed it but haven't set it up yet. It appears to have a nice interface ... and I am so sick of Outlook and OE. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Yep used it and still use it sometimes, all t he MAC's where I work use Eudora, very nice application in my opinion! and FYI I also use Firefox as my browser, very fast and another great application. Works with most websites, flash sites ect. A few very few sites it is sort of odd if they are made only for IE. Also with Firefox if you install it, it pulls over all your favs! I have not tried it but I think Firefox has an app called Thunderbird for pop mail.

Thunderbird, though I kinda like Outlook 2k3...

I think if I was looking to *start* using an email program outside of the Microsoft family I'd go with Thunderbird at this point. Eudora seems deep in decline and the Mozilla wares are certainly in ascendance.

One note of warning, when you're using OE and especially Outlook it's easy to go to any other email program or move files about... but once you're in any of these 3rd party apps you seem somewhat stuck there...

Final note, if you want to synchronize with a PDA (especially PocketPC based) or cell phone Office's Outlook works with almost everything, all others vary widely device to device.

You do not indicate how you got your copy of Eudora or what O.S. you use. I have not used it in a long time but I have friends, with Macs, who still use it. The current version supposedly works similarly to Outlook Express as far as getting e-mail from other common e-mail utility programs.

It is not a simple program, however, if you are switching over and have used Outlook as your only utility.

As James indicated, Firefox and Thunderbird are highly stable, highly recommend browsers and e-mail utility, both of which are available for download free at http://www.mozila.org (and the software can also be purchased at this site or a donation can be made here, as well).

Anton I received version 6.2 and looking at their web site it also can be DL there. I have been playing around with it. Not certain yet if it's for me.

I also DL both firefox and thunderbird as some have suggested and have been happy with firefox. In fact, I have not come to a site yet where firefox did not display it properly. It reminds me of early Netscape light and quick. Thunderbird I am not sure about yet.

Also a few guys asked what OS/Comp I use. I am using WinXP on a PC.
