Hi everyone,

Some of you are already aware of this but my husband, known as Robster on the board suffered an incredibly serious and incredibly rare side effect from antibiotic Bactrim called Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. Essentially it burns the skin and the mucous membranes from the inside out. He is currently at the UCSD burn center and is in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator. The incredibly good news is that he is expected to pull through but both of us will be out of work for at least a month.

After much soul searching, I started a gofundme page. I am just trying to collect enough to keep us afloat for the month so that I can continue to help Rob heal without distraction. Once he is better, he and I can work on chipping away at the hospital bills etc. This is incredibly humbling but I would rather swallow my pride than let this interfere with giving Rob my full attention and helping him get better. If you can, please consider donating and if you can't, I TOTALLY understand and just ask that you keep Rob in your thoughts. He loves this board and everyone on it. Without exaggeration, stumbling upon the escort weekend and this board is one of the highlights of his life. Thank you all so much.

Love Wayne

Wayne, stay strong, having been a care giver I know what a difficult time you are going through. Please tell Rob that we are pulling for him.

Thanks so much. I was a walking train wreck last week because the Kaier ICU was doing the best they could be had little to no experience with this and they were giving me a very grim outlook. Now that he is in UCSD, the difference is like night and day. They get these cases about once a month and know exactly what to do. His prognosis is very good and there although he is still in critical condition and in the ICU, they expect him to pull through this.

You made exactly the right call, Wayne.

Wayne did not say it but the goal he set on the funding page is $2500. We are a generous community and we ought to be able to do this for somebody we love.

Wayne, do you need help figuring out the insurance end of this? My brother is going through this with cancer and he and his wife both have great insurance but the importance of being on top of it and having an advocate can not be understated. That may be a way this site can serve as a resource as well.

Thanks for giving us a chance to help and we love you both very much. Stay strong.

Steven, thank you soo much for your kind words. I struggled with this but I would do absolutely anything for Rob and I don't want anything to distract me or for him to sense somethings wrong when he wakes up. You guys have already been so incredibly generous I am starting to get all teary eyed for the 30th time this week at least. I am working with Kaiser trying to set up his disability and my FMLA claims. They are pretty good at navigating the system but if I do hit a road block, this will be the first place I come.

Wayne, please don't take down the fund me page too quickly, even if you reach your base goal. I really want to help, but my expendable income comes from substitute teaching and I won't have much until school has been in session a while. I would be happy to offer you a few days pay at the beginning of October. In the mean time, I will send what I can. Love to you both!

+ 1

I think Wayne is thinking very clearly and compassionately. He identifies the $2500 as an amount that will create "breathing space" until Robster starts to truly get well and the dust settles. He states that after that it will take both of them time to dig out of the hole this unfortunate situation created. So I gave based on what I could do to address an immediate need, not what I can do over the long term.

I would ask everyone who can give now to do so, and those of you like Glennnn who can not give immediately - other than your valued love and support - but can plan to give eventually, to start planning to do so.

Wayne thank you so very much for giving us (me) the opportunity to be of assistance. You are both family and in my thoughts. To all, this is the time to demonstrate just what a caring family we all are. I urge all who possibly can to donate.

I love you all, this is the kindest and sweetest group of people I have ever met and there is no way I can ever thank you all enough. Your generosity and your emotional support are helping us get through the darkest hour of our lives. Please know though that if money is tight then please don't feel the need to contribute, we both will still have jobs when he gets better and we will chip away at the bills in good time. Your friendship and support through this time is worth more than all the money in the world.

Glad to see you have reached the rather modest goal you have set. Hoping that the men here continue to think with the big head and to give generously. Rob, there is an expression about the Washington Senators of old, First in War First in Peace Last in the American League.

In your case: First disrobed; First to dive; Last one to leave a party.

Looking forward to seeing you in Palm Springs and to seeing all of you.

Not to distract from the main goal, PK, but $108? What's with the extra 8 you just shoved in there?

I mean, come on. This is serious. Does it always have to be about your penis size?

I honestly don't know what to say, I am overwhelmed that the goal was not only met but it was done in one day. You guys have giving me the freedom to totally concentrate on Rob and there is no way I can ever repay you for that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. On top of this, the doctor just came in and if all goes well and Rob is physically up to it (which they will test tonight and tomorrow morning) they may take him off the ventilator tomorrow! This is huge because 1) less chance of infection and 2) they can aggressively start his physical therapy. He still has some spots where the skin isn't done regrowing but that will come in time. I am in his room trying my best not to cry. Thank you so very much. The words don't feel like nearly enough.

Jewish tradition to give donations in amounts divisible by 18. 18 is a lucky number and it is related to long life, chai (which incidently is the subject of another posting with lots of hot men but with one wearing a chain about which an inquiry was made). Letters in Hebrew have a numberic value and the numeric value of chai is 18. I am not Jewish but I know Rob could be, I have seen him naked in the pool after all, and so I added the extra eight dollars. And as Paul Harvey used to say: Now you know the rest of the story.

Two Months I say! We're at $2,798 let's make it $5,000 so that they have padding. We need Rob around to show people how to kiss!

Lol, actually he is Jewish (non-practicing).

Okay, I'll be the bitchy Queen who asks the tough questions. My Gaydar goes full throttle when I spend time with Robster and you. Is he possibly a queer (non-practicing)?

I just kicked in a small amount in thanks for a handful of nonpracticing Jewish cock that I enjoyed on April 30, 2016 at Helios. More to cum soon. Love to you both.

PS: Steven, he is definitely a practicing queer, not that he needs any practice!
